I think i've found the lost holy gra... erm, the game to scratch the Quake itch - http://www.loadout.com/
Yes, it's 3rd person and not -EXACTLY- quake, but it's the closest thing i've found so far...
Hey that's exactly the kinda software i was looking for! Do you have any personal experience with that?
Hey Skalpadda, thanks for the lengthy and useful post! Nice tips, i will give those videos and Wish You Were Here a try. Yes, i am a big Pink Floyd fan. :)
I do know a couple of chords, maybe 4 or...
@Skalpadda : I guess i generally want to have fun, not aiming to be pro or make a living of it. I really love how classical guitar sounds, have a friend who's kinda advanced in guitar playing and...
Acoustic, nylon strings. Ideally i'd like to play classical guitar, "by the fingers" (not sure what it's called), but that's much harder. I've already had some guitar lessons some years ago, but...
Does anyone know of any software that helps you learn to play the guitar? I know about GuitarPro, but it's more for people that already know how to play than for noobs...
I tend to agree with bonkers here. But Lamb also has a point, UT was more frantic and allowed less skill... But once again, that's only possible in TDM/CTF setting, the 1v1 core was still very much...
WoW, a lot of activity for one night... :) I'll to respond to some of it:
Natural Selection 2: I am testing it atm, since it's free to play weekend on Steam. I am very tempted to buy it, it's...
One thing everyone seems to be saying here is that "people (we) have grown old". That might be so, i am almost 30 and have two kids now... but that doesn't mean i don't play anymore. On the contrary,...
Is that why ID won't make a new Quake? And there's no more UT? :(
Also, i thought the Quest/Adventure (point and click) was dead too, but recently it has been in quite some reincarnation. Which is...
Decades ago, when i was young and so was everything PC-Gaming related (especially in multiplayer mode), we used to impatiently wait for the next Quake or Unreal Tournament to be released, so that we...
After more research, i am starting to go that direction more and more.
I guess for pure gaming fun the DS (or Vita) is unbeatable, for a certain age... But for the use we need at the moment, an...
Was also pondering this - http://www.amazon.co.uk/VTech-136803-Vtech-Innotab-Blue/dp/B00763PQ8A/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1363512347&sr=8-6
or this

Scribblenaughts, Pokemon and Mario (ah, Mario... :D) seem to be for slightly older kids, maybe 7+ i'd say, since it requires some more intelect and mostly thumbs agility. My kid is still having...
Just checked some prices, the DSi and 3DS cost basically the same thing. Also, AFAIK you can turn off the 3d option on the 3DS, no?
What about the hardware side - doesn't the 3DS offer better...
Well, as i said we are going a trip which will include long transit-waits on airports, etc.
Also, both my kids are girls, so ball games are not their top priority.
Also, i am on a wheelchair, so...
Ok, i know this is not PC-gaming related but it's still about gaming so i thought it will be ok to post here.
Here's the thing - at the end of this summer we (me and my family) will be going a...
Team Fail A and Team Fail B taunting eachother while waiting for their second chance to glory* !

(I was in Team Fail A)
* 2 guild commendations
Oh, nice tool! Thanks :)
Nice tips guys, thanks for the info.
So to sum it up:
* Target items that sell for ~1 silver per piece
* Buy and sell with 1-2 copper difference in buy/sell prices
* Sell in as larger bulks...
Ok, i tried PvP again today, since that's the fastest way to get the game to crash for me - it crashed 100% of the attempts, after a random amount of time. I tried lowering the clocks even lower,...
To be honest, i was just trying to avoid that "solution"... I find it lame to downclock my stuff just because some software acts up on it. *sigh*
I downclocked it just a tiny bit, ran a full AC story mode and didn't crash... Perhaps i am finally saved! Will report back in a while :D
I just got MSI Afterburner, but i am not sure how much i should downclock it. It was set to 715 core clock by default, 1800 on the memory. What settings did you use for stable usage?
What did you use to underclock it?
