I want to go into it, but I caught this thread as I was stepping out. I'm writing a review on it and I'll be back with the link...
Okay, since I feel like I didn't contribute as much as I could have before and it feels a bit douchey to simply link crap that other people have talked about that may only be partly related to the...
that's fine. but once i give you this granola bar, you can never use this definition again. unless i let you. for a granola bar each time you use it.
You guys...as much as I would love to join in on this rant, the idea that you're assuming games can't possibly be a service is #1 a misconception of what ideas are and #2 a cultural bias that you're...

Wait. I'm...
I'm giving this a go tonight. Or tomorrow. Whenever I get a chance.
These initial reports are disheartening, but I'll save my judgment for after the play.
I'll be honest, I followed this until release and I'm a huge fan of Paul Veer's art.
But this game is very short once completed. Flash also lends itself to some imprecise controls and therefore...
All I saw was "I wanna zoom-a-zoom zoom in yo' boom-boom"
So while I do agree with you, you're almost saying that art is something that you kind of passively experience (or at least vicariously experience), which I don't really agree with.
I think games...
But does the appreciation of that art require some sort of prompting? Or is it just there?
I mean, I know what you're saying and I actually feel it whenever I watch people play fighting games...
hi everybody,
I gathered my thoughts about this whole thing and posted something about it on my blog. I'd put it here too, but it's got pictures and stuff and I don't think they allow that here on...
And yet we love them all. Masochists, we are.
Anybody remember an old SNES game called Hagane? Unnaturally difficult, and not in a fair way. I remember playing the hell out of it one summer in junior high though.
Please, someone, help him. I don't like it when I feel like I'm talking past people.
I'm trying so hard not to
YOU think they're mediocre. The OP is wondering about games that were considered mediocre by the community-at-large or major news outlets.
If I think a game is mediocre, then of course I'm going...
All the games you named are nowhere near mediocre in any sense of the word.
Apparently 1st templar has a twofer. Anybody want in? It'll be $10 usd and some change as opposed to $14
Speak of the devil! It's on sale NOW
is this worth getting for less than $15 doolarios?
I can't really get on board with "Environment Siege" games after Space Siege. What a bad game.
Yeah warband mods are very hit or miss...then again, F&S was actually a warband mod that kind of took off and spawned this huge thing.
The ones that I have gotten to work have been fun, if buggy....
Ok, this really isn't helping. This isn't the reason I started this thread. I really was just curious about what people thought and I appreciate people's opinions. There's no need to belittle...
Hey now, I don't decide these things. Take it up with Metacritic.
And everyone else who gave that game a 7
Alpha Protocol!
It's really papery sometimes, but I just love seeing all the various perks and touches that show up when you do things all the different ways. It makes me appreciate all the...
you can read my thoughts on F&S here. The short of it is that I'm not fond of the way they changed the game compared to Warband.
And for that, my vote goes to Warband. Never played Vanilla, but...
wow, good luck with that.
Post some impressions and I'm sure you'll be one of the few honest voices out there.
