Sleeping Dogs Limited Edition for $7.49, on Square Enix's own store (that link is to the Australian version, which was a pleasant surprise), seems a good deal, you get a Steam key.

I meant The Depths actually, I thought the Gaping Dragon would make it clearer I guess.
The mutiny of the Night's Watch was well handled IMO. Nice beat after Craster's threat before the choas ensue.
This episode reeked of things to come in the near future, amirite?
I agree completely! I had a couple of laggy invasions down there which were terrible. I played offline until I got to Gaping Dragon and it was weirdly much better.
I made a point to look up where...
I feel that Artorias is the closest the game comes to offering you an opponent of similar skill (Demon's Souls had the Old Monk which could be very nice if you got a decent player). To my eternal...
The Black Knight Halberd pumps out some insane damage - but the moveset is mediocre for PVP. PVE however, it's my favourite weapon (I use that and the Demon Great Machete usually).
I watched pretty much the whole game on YouTube and read both wikis quite extensively before the PC version was even announced. Still an incredible experience, so YMMV.
I hated the Depths a whole lot more than Blighttown, for what it's worth. I just picked up all the items in Blighttown, beat Quelaag and got the hell out of there (after joining the Chaos Servants,...
That was incredibly jarring for about 10 minutes... then I laughed so much my stomach hurt.
You can get it quite early (about 20 minutes after leaving the asylum iirc) if you know what you're doing. I'd probably place it in my top 5 favourite weapons. Plus it can somehow pierce shield...
The last time I was properly ill I played a ton of DS games and couldn't even bear to switch on my PC.
Elemental Washing Poles are just absurd (or were, before the Fire/Lightning nerfs which came along with the PC port).
At least in the gameplay trailer, enemies reacted to your backstabs, which is fantastic. Sure, Dark Souls had enemies immune to backstab, but not ones that seemed organic in reacting to your style.
Thank goodness, finally some enemies who have enough sense to dissuade the player from constant backstabbing.
The fact that they're called 'Drop Stone of Healing' makes me think that there might be other Drop Stones... maybe they're tied to bonfires, like Estus.
I think they've moved away from Estus in DS II... I would love that. No sign of mana (or any magic at all) in the gameplay trailer, but I assume it's roughly the same system. Magic in Demon's Souls...
I will of course watch the entire thing on YouTube before even buying it... marvellous times ahead.
Ok, I don't think you got what I was trying to say.
Think of design as a slice of cheesecake (bear with me); each 'controversial' design decision slices a bit off the top of the filling. With no...
It's different because you can't play if you're offline, while any other controversial design decision might mean your enjoyment of the game is diminished rather than being completely unable to play.
I posted this a while back in the Super Hexagon but I think it's worth a repost:

I think that was the first time in my life that I felt truly suicidal.
The Demon Great Machete is one of my favourite weapons. Buffable, and with A scaling at +15, it's really nice. Although I think my favourite will always be the Black Knight Halberd, just for...
The elemental powers are nice though. I still wish there was a sequel to Prince of Persia (2008) or at least we got the console exclusive epilogue DLC.
Capra Demon's room has the worst textures in the game, the worst textures in any game released after 2007 in my slightly hyperbolic opinion.
