That clip just made me realize I know a lot less about Blizzard characters than I though I did. I hardly recognized any of them which disappoints since I was expecting familiar faces to muck around...

The Capra Demon. What a total dork. I bet he has no friends.
I hate him.

It has an extra K so it's OK!
Sorry I couldn't help it. I dunno what's wrong with me today.

Oh, yea don't get me wrong SP has had some brilliant mid-series episodes like that Internet one or Cartman's various crusades. Sadly the latest stuff has me flipping channels almost immediately.

Stick Of Truth. Dunno why. South Park stopped being funny ages ago. But here we are.
Just realised that a recent D drive wipe killed all my Dark Souls saves. I brought a Pyro/Axeman within 2 or 3...
This is too ancient. I shoulda done a post 2005 game. I don't want to stall the thread so it's Alien Legacy, a 4x game and it was pretty awesome in it's day.
Someone take a go.
Here's another for the 90's kids:
EDIT: I suck at inserting the image but if you click on it you'll see it.
Cylindrix! I played this on my very first shiny new second-hand Pentium. It was awful. The game not the Pentium. It's all about the Pentiums, baby.

I've been playing Path of Exile most of this hungover day.
Your original post, Eight Rooks, was the first I heard of it -- thanks.
It's surprisingly compelling and a relaxing antidote to all...

I understand your position since I've played League heavily with work-mates over the past year or so. I only just got into DOTA 2 this week but I am enjoying it immensely. I always thought of DOTA as...

Took a plunge into DOTA 2 for the first time yesterday and have now a half dozen matches played. All the articles and guides I've read told me that it would an excruciating experience with you both...

SS3 is easily one the most memorable FPS game I've yet played. The final canyon level in particular stands out in its genius level design -- it is a long tube filled with howling bad guys.

I own those. They are classic. Serious Sam, Painkiller and all those well-known titles sit idly in my Steam list.
Shadow Warrior looks like it fits the bill as far as FPS games go. Never heard...

Also boom boom boom and rattatatta! And some pwew pwew kaboom with lots of frentic mouse clicking and rage inducing bosses.
Don't care about the genre but prefer casual games and/or indie games. I...

As a swede I find that statement amusing. Don't believe everything you read.

"Rather than artificially altering the video games industry to fit a pre-supposed ideal, we can let it organically represent the interests of everyone willing to get involved."

@Majestic12: Agreed on all counts. You have summed up my view on all this quite nicely. I highly suspect that much of the silent majority of RPS readers share similar views -- balanced and patient...

It's been three years since I gave up trying to learn to play "that horrible game" but hearing it discussed among friends has caused a fey mood to overtake me and I have withdrawn from society.

Still slogging away at my first game in my first rouge-like TOME4. The experience is alot more accessible and fun than I assumed it would be. I created a joke character to test things out expecting...

I really wish I hadn't seen this thread yesterday evening so I wouldn't be so tired this morning.
Started the Adventures of Angry Pants the Halfling Beserker and he's doing just fine so far. Left...
Favorite platformers by far are VVVVVV and the Commander Keen series.
Am the only one who finds SMB to be far harder then VVVVVV? I can't seem to make much progress in SMB whenever I pick it up...
As far as strategy games go I'd say Disciples 2 was easily the most relaxing. It pretends to be strategy game but really all you do is walk around a map leveling a single stack of 5 or so units. Not...
Calming, relaxing, soothing, lulling, introspective, whimsical and mind numbing:
Puzzle Quest 2
Cthulhu Saves the World

Thanks for the great suggestions!
I'll definitely pick up the Darksider series and Guardian of Light.
Was happy to see that an Onimusha game was ported to PC since I played the first one ages...
