The work that I've done requiring diplomacy is fairly wide-ranging, but has involved mediating in contract disputes, agreeing (and governance of) service level agreements in very large organisations...
Yeah, me.
I've done admin and moderation for large forums before. Nobody here knows me and I'm not part of any factions. I have the maturity not to take things personally or get into squabbles....
Is it possible to resurrect Gore Vidal? I'd like him as moderator.
Failing that, I vote for the unethical conscription model.
Maybe I've missed it (I read the forum regularly though rarely post), but does this forum really need added moderation? Have there been horrendous fights and on-going personal abuse to be stamped...
Why are you ruling out an unethical conscription process?
Don't give it to anyone who wants it! That's usually a bad sign. Or it usually is when it comes to politicians, anyway.
Thanks for the tip. I'd forgotten about that!
Currently playing Inversion. Not too bad a port, and there is a story twist that could have been interesting if it were not for all the clichéd crap and non-characters surrounding it.
Exactly. This was my one complaint with Bioshock Infinite. It encourages a degree of exploration, but then forces you to play on through the linear path of the narrative until the developers deem...
This is pretty much how I feel about it. I've thrown what otherwise might be decent games away due to crappy savepoint systems.
Maybe it's just because I've been a PC gamer for many years, but...
I'm sorry—I know this is an old debate, but it's something that’s taken the shine off many modern games for me. I hate the fact that a game dictates how long I have to play to avoid losing any...

I agree about the political stuff. It recognises the fact that many PC gamers are adults able to debate and engage complex and important ideas. There are also issues that, I feel, must be tackled...

Wow -- thanks everyone for the info. I was pretty much 80% going to go for the 690, but what you're saying about the vram issue, driver support etc, has given me a lot to think about. Much...
I'm shopping around for a new custom build PC at the moment and can't decide whether to go for a GTX 680 or 690.
At the moment, a 690 would be overkill because I'll only ever be using one monitor...
That latest video really raises my curiousity. I wonder what that 'mystery game' is. Sounds exciting. Have upped my pledge.
I think it's come at a bad time -- kickstarter saturation point. If it had been one of the early ones I think they would have raised double. It should make its target, but there's no guarantee, and...
It would be good if they could double the target. Maybe that's too ambitious.
I know this style of game is pretty old school, but I think what Jane Jensen does has a unique style. It isn't...
I'd expected Jane Jensen's kickstarter to go through the roof, but it seems to be steady on a relatively modest target.
After all, the adventure game genre seems to be going through a renaissance...
