    Ghost of a Tale

is gorgeous. Just gorgeous, even in Alpha.

Here's hoping we get something like huge exploration game with some interesting combat mechanics on the side. Something like BG&E but that's just wishful thinking. Looks a lot like Dark Souls, visually and we've yet to see more of that later.

The developer got a few things to say about what he's aiming for this game

I know it sounds hockey but I’m really trying to recapture the sense of wonder I felt as a kid when I discovered the games from the 80s and early 90s. But with a AAA quality (as far as I’m able) that’s very much up-to-date.
Oh, by the way, he's trying to raise funds for it here. Right! Now, discuss.

Already backed it, as has my girlfriend.

Can't precisely say why, it's just so damn charming.

Wow, this trailer for some reason catches my heart. The playing character of a mice is so cute. This game may even be popular among girls.

And all these lovely work so far only by one man? Amazing.

BTW, he remains me. My machine is also 4 year-old and is not powerful enough to run some latest games satisfactorily, too. It's the confusion of MS Windows releases that hinder my attempt to buy a new PC. I have to wait to see how the upcoming release of Windows 9 goes, and I definitely will not try Win 8. And I'm afraid Win 7 will become obsolete for gaming within the next few years.

This has a Gothic-like vibe and a mouse with a mandolin on its back as a main character! Make this happen! Please!

"Here's hoping we get something like huge exploration game..."

The dev already stated the scope will be a small one (although, should the fund exceed the bare minimum, there'll be more areas to explore). Here's for reference, taken from his IndieGoGo site:
"But my goal is to craft a small yet beautiful game..."
    and
"Is this game going to be like Skyrim? No, it isn't. "Skyrim" and the "Zelda" games are huge open-world games which required dozens of persons to work for years, backed by multimillion dollars budgets. I work alone..."

Clearly the most adorable main protagonist to grace our monitors.

When I saw the trailer and the protagonist I thought to myself "Voon is going to love this".
I take photos of space and talk about it sometimes: http://ofspaceandthings.tumblr.com Also, I am making a game for which there is a development log: http://elegythegame.tumblr.com/

The little mouse scamper is so cute!

Like I said, wishful thinking. Seems to me like it's still going to be some emphasis on exploration even if it's going to be on a smaller scale, though.

This game looks rather neat and beautiful.
But where did he come from, this fleck of spite in an abandoned paradise?

Does it remind anyone else of Little Big Adventure (a.k.a. Relentless) ? I'd back this but I'm out of funds.

I like the running animation very much.

Tbh no, it doesn't. Well, yes, maybe the hitting animations of the rat skelletons are similar to the hitting animations of some of LBA2's monsters --> Character_Skeleton.png

Merging LBA 2 and Gothic 2, two of my all-time favorite games, into one game: THAT would have to be the last game I will play. Forever!

It looks pretty nice, $30 is a bit much for an unmade game.

That's where I'm at. It looks lovely, but it's got enough unknowns that I'd rather buy it at release if it's still lovely then.

Only a little more than a week to go and the project still lacks 20k € to get funded. What a shame! I'm bumping this in a last effort to get more people here interested in this adorable and unique little game. There has been alot of updates too, some amazing character sneak peeks:
