    THQ Backlog Auction

I was reading that this ends today (April 15th, 2013). Anyone have an idea when / if we'll know what went where (aside from a studio announcing "We're making X" somewhere down the road)? And where you'd be most likely to find a list?

I'm really most interested to see what happens to the Darksiders IP.

Someone worthy needs to acquire the Homeworld license AND make a game with it.

I can see the press releases even now:
"The classic RTS Homeworld now reimagined as a gritty, action packed FPS."

Which does make it more interesting than 95% of all other FPS right now

We won't know the results until mid-May. THQ has to work out which creditors get what amount of the money from the auction, and then the bankruptcy court has to approve the sales.

Half of it - tutorial of things FPS gamer should all ready know.
Hear from the spirit-world this mystery:
    Creation is summed up, O man, in thee;
Angel and demon, man and beast art thou,
Yea, thou art all thou dost appear to be!

A noob question but, who currently owns the IP of STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl (not the whole franchise, just this title alone)?

THQ just published STALKER, they never owned any rights over it.

Someone bought Homeworld, but it's not the guys who were doing a fundraiser.

Homeworld and its sequel were a separate lot so whoever bought them is actually interested in them.

Mid May is when we will see who bought what when the deals are finalized.

On the back of all real FPS box copies : "Only those with past FPS experience need apply."

I hate inelegant tutorials, too, and we could always go back to manuals via PDFs for the basics or those lovely separate tutorials that constitute little mini-levels that, depending on the game, range from purely mechanical to campy fun to tidbits of extra narrative displaced from and inessential to the main game.

But for the most part a little pop-up telling you how to use WASD for about 2 seconds isn't that bad.

I think of [the Internet] as a grisly raw steak laid out on a porcelain benchtop in the sun, covered in chocolate hazelnut sauce. In the background plays Stardustís Music Sounds Better With You. Thereís lots of fog. --tomeoftom

Paradox apparently came in third in the Homeworld auction.

I bet it was Sega, maybe at the behest of Relic, maybe because they thought it was something they could work with.
