Leave the Call to Arms stickied until the event is over, please. Unsticky the training thread though, thatäs less important, especially since the eyesore is there.
I fail to see that as much of an eyesore, by the way. I think it's an excellent way to get people's attention.

no sticky for forum guidelines, its the first one written by jim everyone sees upon entering the forums.
also please keep in mind this is a subforum, not a full one. I dont want to bother the other forumgoers just because we like ps2.
also, ive already unstickied some stuff. should be only 4 atm.

It just occurred to me, our subforum is the perfect representation of Planetside 2 on rockpapershotgun.com: extremely fun and useful, still a nightmare for a new member to navigate.

Ok maybe it's just me, but I fail to see the announcement on any other boards? Sooo what's the problem? Unless I'm doing something wrong.

Yeah, I canät see our announcements on any other part of the forum.
Agreed on MrEclectic's analysis!

if you use "Whats new" it pops up at the top.

ugh. ok. if you have not set it to read, it has "priority" and pops up at the top of all the topics even if it wasnt the most recent updated thread. we are flooding the forum with a thread for every little bit of information we have. it would be nice if we wouldnt be using anouncements for every fucking event that we can think of.

solution: use a thread with a single post in it called Upcoming Event: (insert name and date here). inside of it, you can link to whatever.
my problem with the anouncements and the sheer number of ps2 related threads is that I use the rest of the forums too, not like most of you. Id like to keep them a bit further apart.

I see the blue box, but only on the Planetside 2 subforum.

Yeah, I only see it on this subforum too. I thought it was quite a handy little tool for announcing things like training, which many folk might miss.

Yea I only saw it on PS2's subforum and it seemed like a great tool. It's a constant reminder and doesn't get lost with the other stickies that are Useful Information for first-timers.

Same with me, I have no idea why Quanta sees it everywhere.

like I said, you have to set it to read in order not to see it ie. either clicked it or set read all. I use the Whats New function a lot, and it popped up there at the top even though it wasnt the most recent post. and yes, we already have a shitload of threads going.
so ofcourse you wont see it anymore youve already clicked it. it just stood out and annoyed me. imagine how the rest of the forum "feels".
08-05-2013, 07:25 AM #97
I've already clicked it (more than once now). I still see it, and I still only see it in this subforum.

let me give you all a rule: only rps sanctioned like call to arms things can have anouncements. everything else is not important enough and can be done over stickies.
