Most fun I've ever had in a multiplayer game tonight. Thanks to TrooperWally for being a brilliant squad leader and obviously to the organisers. Warp gating the NC was extremely satisfying.

Thank you to everyone tonight, was amazing - special thanks to my awesome ROs and SLs in Platoon 2, without you I would have gone insane trying to keep things rolling between Central Command and the Platoon. <3

Cheers to everyone who took part, and massive thanks to the leaders/organisers/PLs/SLs/ROs.

Indeed Props to everyone who took part, especially Jaci our wonderful PL, CMaster, Esoteric and Cooper for running the show, Jim for the shoutout, and to Charlie Squad in Platoon, for being an awesome squad to lead, being nice and chatty, and for not mutinying in anyway. You noisy buggers! Also special mention to JetpackBallerina for managing to drop pod his squad leader during the assault on Indar Excavation. Exquisite precision!

Best Call to Arms yet, no question. Probably among the best nights of PS2 [RPS] history.

Just wanted to post here to say:
If anybody has footage from tonights call to arms, it might be worth compiling a nice little montage of the nights events so that we can show people thinking of playing with us what kind of things they can be expecting from a night with us.
Additionally, if anybody feels that they have moderate video making skills, feel free to send some vid links my way and ill add them to our community playlists over on our youtube.
Im also looking for somebody who would be willing to make videos for the main channel too, so if you are interested in this, let me know.

I took the following set of pictures tonight under platoon 1, delta squad. I apologise in advance for taking up a few posts. If it's a problem, I'll delete'em and find another way of making them available to view, outside of where they are currently on my Steam profile (which you can find in my sig anyhow). So, without further time wasting.
Platoon 1 was under orders to attack and then hold Quartz Ridge. We loaded up into Galaxies and headed out under the cover of the shining day.
Day soon became night as, after successfully taking Quartz Ridge, delta squad was on AA duties. This was carried out with ease.
Delta squad, in all its glory. We make the air safe for you!

It was clear though that the might of platoon 1's Delta squad would not be able to take Indar Excavation Site from the scum TR alone. So, we enlisted the rest of the RPS forces to help for a mass Galaxy drop on the location. We proceeded to take off from the warp gate.
Platoon 1, naturally, led the way!
But we did have plenty of back-up.

It wasn't just enough that we had air though. No, Vanu rallied around us with heavy weapons.
The TR were not keen on making it easy for us, but the fearless Vanu proceeded into their territory regardless!
Little did they know...
...that the might of Vanu is both mighty and numerous.

Big, huge bundles of thanks to everyone who showed up tonight, and to those who stepped up to lead platoons and squads, radio officers and all that! It was great fun leading you all for half a night, though I feel the need to apologize for leaving some of you stranded a bit too long there in the beginning.
One thing we had hoped to do that didn't happen was make sure we got a "real" kick-off kind of thing going. What happened instead was that people started pouring in long before the announced time, and we need to make sure they got off to shoot some lasers. The effect was that platoons were created one at a time, and sent to do random jobs, all through the first 45 minutes. Some, like Platoon 3, were left out of the group action for far too long (sorry for not letting go of Scarred Mesa!). Others were stuck in a couple of long meatgrinders. Much of this comes down to us as commanders not knowing what was going on on the ground, other factors are us not wanting to switch platoon objectives all to often or simply not wanting to let go of certain locations. We are learning how to do this thing properly with this many people, and do know that we were mostly aware of your situation, and your getting to have fun was something we were always consciously trying to achieve, although we did fail at a couple of times.
My favourite moment of the night was when rolling three platoons of galaxies, and two platoons of tanks over Quartz Ridge into Indar Excavation Site. The sight, sitting in my Galaxy, seeing the rough dozen Galaxies, passing over Hvar and swooping over the hillside across Quartz Ridge, with dozens and dozens of Magriders and Lightnings pouring through the gates across the plain. More than 200 people working in perfect synchronisation. That was pure bliss! Bet the poor TR sods shat themselves when they saw us coming...
Thanks also to CMaster and Cooper in HQ for the support and for helping organise the event! Sorry that we didn't use your scout services enough, Nick, we might not want to do that again. It's so hard to keep track of everything that's going on as it is...
And finally, a big round of applause to Sinomatic and her welcome crew for being utterly excellent and making people feel at home right from the start. That would be Sinomatic, FrozenRain, CmdrZod, Jakkar, and probably a few more that I missed. You did a great job you guys!

Well that didn't disappoint, simply superb, blown away by the organisation which was always delivered in such a calm and friendly manner, there wasn't a moment when I didn't know what I was supposed to be doing, allowing me to concentrate fully on dealing with the utter madness unfolding on my screen.
Thank you all. I'd like to especially thank Sinomatic who did a great job of pointing people in the right direction in the welcome channel, and to the leadership and grunts of Platoon 5 and its squads.
Also, apologies to all the friendlies I shot in the face.
