Turn Based 40k = Take My Money. I can't help it, since Final Liberation. I have a problem.

I'd rather have a smaller scale squad based game like Chaos Gate, but either is fine with me.

Its supposed to be easily moddable so if there isn't an Ork campaign at launch it won't be long until there are several.

I'm not into the whole 40k thing but this sounds right up my alley. Anything turn based gets my attention.

That stuff is probably worth half my steam account. We will never get anything that will even remotely resemble the actual game.

I'm talking about the scale size of it, note the 5 tiny space marines and their tiny rhino. I agree and doubt very much that GW would ever allow anything even close to a digital version of 40k to be made, because that'd cut into their plastic men in boxes profit.

This. I even had a working copy of final liberation for a while on my work Win98 laptop and still couldn't do the first level on the hardest setting.

I can see GW going for an Epic system as it wouldn't necessarily eat into their 40k profits - IIRC Epic is still supported by their specialist games comp?

I suppose hoping for an integrated Epic/Gothic strat game (with turn based battles) is too much to hope for?

    Also - Titans.

You can only buy something like 3 Epic models from Forge World, different versions of the Thunderhawk I think. I believe you can still buy the regular models from GW though, but only through the online store but I don't believe the full range is still availabe.

Knowing GW they probably monitor 2nd hand sales on eBay and think "HOW CAN WE MONETIZE THIS?"

GW think in CAPS, well known fact.

Well, GW recently killed off all support for Epic and it's model range, so while 40k is a nono, a faithful adaptation of Epic could happen.
