Aww, very sweet doodle there DaftPunk.
If you'll permit me, here's a contribution to the thread. Although I'm not a picture arty person, I do writing stuff. I recently interviewed Derek Cacodemon, of Doom fame. http://tessstenson.blogspot.co.uk/20...cacodemon.html
So who's idea was it to create the Cacodemon character?
It was very much a team effort. Based in Tom's initial concepts of an adaptation of the classic Dungeons and Dragons Beholder monster, we all slowly added together the parts. I worked quite a bit with Adrian Carmack to get the exact design down perfectly. We decided that the character, whom we were referring to as Mr Chuckles at the time, should have a brighter red skin than my natural colour is, to infer an impression of the fiery pits from which the character was written as coming from. Somehow Adrian found out about my ability to produce glowing orbs from my mouth and insisted that it be written in as a character trait; an offensive weapon that the character would use against the player.

Here is a stupid poem I wrote for a joke article once, it's about the Civilization games:
I once was a lonely settler, lost in the ancient era,
but then I made my first scout, and things became a little clearer,
but alas around the time I discovered Mathematics,
my scout stumbled across some barbarian fanatics,
he was butchered in the plains, my citizens gave me the blame!
So I adopted slavery and worked them all to death

I spent a Sunday afternoon making this time line of arbitrarily chosen events leading from the big bang to humanity as an exercise in trying to get a sense of scale for the time involved in.. everything, I guess.
It's a bit over 7000 pixels wide, so you'll have to click through and scroll if you want to read the text.

THIS IS THE LATE GREAT NATHAN GRAIN
HE WAS TOASTED AND BUTTERED AND FELT NO PAIN
HE WAS SERVED FOR LUNCH ON A SILVERY PLATE
THAT'S WHY NATHAN GRAIN IS GREAT
THAT'S WHY NATHAN GRAIN IS LATESupport for my all-pepperjack-cheese food bank charity drive has been lukewarm at best.
