You're most welcome, I just pulled it off a random website!

But yeah congrats for the win :D and a race might just be great, plus it's a nice opportunity to wre- I mean, fairly compete with each other!
I have to say I'm curious about the next competition too...I wouldn't mind some more powerful cars tbh.

Wait so how do we choose the next one? BTW I think 5 days might be a better time limit, maybe it can bring people to compete earlier.

There is no process for picking the next one, for now I will just pick them. I am working on some sort of more formal way to do it, have the winner pick the next one(maybe even from a combo). I am also looking into mods and tracks and what combinations work and dont.

I can give you a hint though, Nordschleife and Le Mans. Note that neither is the next track in a literal sense :).

EDIT: Also, better download the free Formula Raceroom addon! Its in the Steam DLC list.

Timewise, I think a week is fine, one week it will be from monday to saturday, the next one a bit earlier or later depending on when the mainpost gets updated.

Okiedoke! I think that getting an assessment of what expansions and mods people have could be useful btw.
Hmmm Nordschleife and Le Mans...you got me thinking.

PS: We NEED to hold one competition at Nordschleife sooner or later though.

    New competition is up, enjoy!

Oh, almost forgot, the Enduring challenge might change car class during the competition at some point.

I hope so, both classes are fun to drive! And a track like Monza deserves a fast car!

Here's my first shot at both, just for the hell of it! I reckon they're probably mediocre attempts as I didn't take risks with neither car.

    Monza, F3000:

Nordschleife in the WTCC Extreme BMW (really fun car btw):

So yeah, I totally missed the Brands Hatch thing in the end, week was crazy. I did have some time to get a few laps going at Monza, and this is the best I got:

I can probably improve on that, since I'm not happy with the first chicane and the two Lesmos.

I keep getting weird stuttering when I try Nordschleife, not sure if there's something wrong with my installation. Oh well.

Ohey nice time there! Hope I can come close to it...I still don't know the F3000, it seems to be fairly easy to drive though.
What kind of stuttering are you getting? The experience has been pretty smooth for me so far.

Damn it I didn't have time on Saturday to improve my time! Also I blame RWD!!

    WTCC Extreme Nordschleife is amazing!

Faldrath, try validating the content of GTR Evolution, that might help!

How do you guys like the F3000 cars? A bit different then the usual but I thought it would be nice to give it a go. I agree that the WTCC Extreme is a ton of fun on the Nordschleife, I got another event planned with the WTCC Extreme cars on a most excellent fictional track build to F1 specs(so fast!).

We could run the F1 tracks with the F3000/Formula RaceRoom/Formula Masters cars. Although the Formula RaceRoom cars have some strange bumping on some tracks, a bit like the Mercedes cars in DTM do on long straights(they bump like a mad man!).

EDIT: Also Zitron, your time is nothing to be ashamed off!

I think I hit a (metaphorical, and at times physical) wall on the F3000 competition. DLed a coupla hotlaps and they're all MUCH faster than me on the long straight. E.g. max speed is around 255 km\h, they seem to be around 5-10 km\h faster.
The F1 idea could be cool! I'm not sure I really like the F3000 though so far.

Have you looked into setups for the F3000? Thats probably the solution for your problem.

Yeah, most tracks have specific setups made by Simbin. Worth taking a look.

I do like the F3000. Speaking of cars/tracks, I think this thread would be a good opportunity for the Race07 newbies like myself to be introduced to good mods - so if you veterans (and Pepper) feel like suggesting some, or even staging a competition with mods, I'd be all for that (as long as they're easy to find/install!)
