Rebound, Pool, Shot [Pool Nation]
Can't believe there isn't a club for this, this game is amazing.
It's on sale until Monday or so, go get it!
I'll be offline until Sunday, which makes this thread kinda pointless, but hopefully there will be more players around.

I don't know about a shark, but I could be considered a pool minnow or something. Maybe even just pool plankton.

I'm eight hours behind UK time, so typically I can only play with RPSers on the weekends.
Here's my Steam ID, send me a challenge sometime.

I'm 8 hours behind you all, too (also California), but am often here at odd hours.. So rack em up!!!
(Steam ID in signature.)
Warning: Challenge me at your own risk. Will not be responsible for concussions or teeth knocked out caused by flying balls and/or cue sticks.

I picked up this game for just over £2 and feel as though I have stole it, such a great game and very addictive. Needs some tweaking but the developers seem to be on the ball. AND a snooker expansion.

Before I actually expose my noob ass self in a public game, I think I should mention that I only play in novice mode, and that I have no idea how to, intentionally, swerve or jump a ball.
However, I have been practicing, with the bots, in single play and, except for some bitch named Peaches, who I actually tried to attack with my cue stick, I've handled them all pretty well.
Anyway, I hope there are other novice players out there to challenge.. and while I'm at it, I might as well hope that they play crappier than me, too. ;-)
And I'll meet cha at the felt arena!!
PS- I sorta like Rock, Paper, Side Pocket as a name too.

We can change the name to Rock, Poll, Side Pocket, but I can't edit thread names.
I too am a novice, but try playing some rounds in champion mode, you get help only for the cue ball. It turns into a different game, otherwise it's too easy and the games are too fast. Not to mention it's harder for someone to pocket all the balls in the first play.

I'd like to play some matches too! I usually play in champion mode, but I hardly ever get more than one star in the latest matches. Anyway... I guess we'll all improve over time, with practice. My Steam ID is AlexClockwork, by the way.

I really enjoy Pool Nation.
I find something soothing about it.
But then, I'm an avowed novice (I just loves my crutches), who would rather languidly chat and play, than be champ.
I mean, there's something very satisfying about being on a 9 ball streak, while carrying on a casual conversation about the stupid decisions the characters on Walking Dead make.
But, play on any other setting and I'd have to put on my ugly old game face, and actually concentrate on each shot, and...well, I don't wanna.
So, novice I shall stay.
Oh yeah, I've also recently discovered that Pool Nation is a wonderful little comedown after a long grueling evening of pulling "overkill" jobs in PayDay 2, as well.
Lately, the game has been crashing on me, which harshes my high.. which pisses me off.
I verified the cache, which seemed to help for a bit, I think.
But, then it crashed twice today, just outa the blue, too. Once, it crashed as I was hitting the 8 ball in for a win.
At which point, I had a tiny tantrum.. for which I now feel shame.
Anybody else run into this problem, btw?
I guess I should go check the community hub or something, huh?
Anyway, in the meantime, if ya see me about and feel like a little casual ball banging, gimme a shout.
And, if half way through the game I suddenly disappear.. it's probably not game rage.

I haven't had any crashes either.
Pool Nation is my go to game when I feel like listening to a podcast as it's not very demanding of one's attention; the way I play, at least.

Rack, Pocket, Shoot
And, evidently, nobody else (that I can find, at least) has had this 'booting issue', either.
Closest thing I found was an opposite problem of not being able to exit the pool hall without using Task Manager. (Something I've also experienced, but wasn't too fussed about.)
For the time being, I'm just gonna keep on playing and hope it fixes itself.
Tis idiot logic, I know.. but it's seemed to work for my car, on a couple of occasions. *shrug*

I'm also up for a game or two (and pretty much a novice myself too). Steam name is the same as my name here.

Feel free to send me an invite. I check RPS from work and by the time I get home I usually forget about things going on hereabouts.
