    Upgrade advice

    Hello to everyone,
i was thinking to upgrade my pc and i want to ask advice. What i want is something that can endure in the time.

-CPU:i have a i5-3570,really don't know if need to be upgraded
-GPU:7870,i'm waiting the new 800 series
    -SSD: i don't know.
-Monitor: i'm torn beetween the 144Hz Vs 1440p

Budget is not really a problem but i want to stay with only a gpu and one monitor. Thanks to everyone who can stop here to lend me an hand.

I have the same CPU and a similar GPU (GTX660TI) and I'm in no hurry to upgrade - though I'm strictly 1080P. Why do you WANT to upgrade?

Honestly, unless there's a particular game or application demanding that you upgrade then I'd hold off, because you know that the longer you wait the more prices will come down and speeds will go up.

I'm currently playing on a 1680x1050 monitor. My 7870 with games like Battlefield 4 at that resolution fails to maintain the 60FPS with everything on low setting. I'm pretty sure that part of the problem is Battlefield but considering that I want to change monitor with at least a 1080p with 144Hz, i think my 7870 will not be able to sustain the effort.I assume that with time and the new games the situation will worsen.I'm not in hurry to upgrade at least not until The Witcher 3 comes out.

A good place to start imo is here: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/t/buil...cleType=review where they build systems for various budgets according to best price/performance and write the whole process up including benchmarks of the system. I tend to look there first before going off and pricing components.

As it says on the build your own page "Our editorial team builds, tests, and evaluates PC systems at varying costs, using the components that we think maximize value."

It' a good site if i need to build it up from the begin. But i will prefer something more related to my question.
For example my CPU, the 3570 no K, with a new gpu, for example the next series 800 or for something with more data, the 780Ti or even a SLI of 780Ti,can cause bottleneck? It's better if i pass to a 3770K?

I can wait, but i will prefer make myself an idea of what need to be done, and i thought of asking advice to people who know better. What i want to try to reach is a build that can last at least 2-3 year playing everything at max settings, mods, other filter like ENB, at least at 1080p an 60FPS(or better 144) without problem.

You win this :D. But i did this, and the problem is that my CPU is the 3570 non k version. The only thing related i saw is a video of a man with a 3570 oc to 4.2 and a sli of 780Ti.

    hahaha sorry I couldn't resist :D
