I booked! I'm coming across to stay with a mate on the Wednesday before, but am going back on the same ferry as Cei and Rizlar so am happy to do lifts back if anyone else wants to book that ferry.

Sweet! Speak to Craig regarding a lift as he might need one?

Shouldn't be a problem - I can probably do a detour up to leicester, it doesn't look that much out of the way.

You'll need to get a ferry ticket and (maybe) walk on though, I only booked one passenger.

Hmm, is that feasible? Driving to the port, dropping somebody off, then boarding the ferry on whatever tickets, then picking them up on the way out?

I'm trying to remember what the Hook of Holland arrival/departure area looks like, but I think (off the top of my head) it's pretty small and easy to do it.

Weird question, but logistically what have we done for food at past events?

I think this time is a bit different, no, as we'll be self-catering?

I've cooked for large groups of people before and quite enjoy it so I'm happy to take on chef's duties if required. What I've done in the past is just buy a big load of food and everyone split the cost at the end, minus any leftovers that people can take home.

I dont mind cooking, or atleast helping out. sortof depends on what were making, and which tools we have.

Sounds good, lets figure out whos vegetarian, vegan and eater of the world and all its creatures and beings. We should start on a very crude menu for the stay.

Since a few of us are driving, we can bring our own implements

Pasta's normally good cause you can just separate out batches of sauces for veggies etc.

True. But if we are making pasta, lets make a proper sauce, with wine and vegetables and all.

    I make a pretty mean curry :P.

I'm also dairy free and sometimes gluten free depending on which way the wind is blowing.

And I can bring a pasta machine and do it myself if people want pasta.

    Alright, food!

We are indeed self-catering for the weekend, and there is a decent kitchen provided with implements and so forth (I can double check what exactly), and tables/seats for 16. I think a meal plan or whatever is a good idea, but is something that can be done closer to the time, once we're at the point people are fully confirmed and paid up (so October).

As a rough schedule, I imagine something like this....

Friday - people arrive late afternoon in to the evening. Probably best to have food prepared of the kind that can be heated as people arrive (like a pasta+sauce).
Saturday - self-catered breakfast & lunch, eat out in Utrecht for evening?
Sunday - self catered breakfast & lunch, some people then leave, the remainder then make dinner
Monday - self catered breakfast and head home

EDIT: Still one slot available in the accommodation

Pizzas'd be good for that, can just be slung in the oven as and when people need and then shared. Obviously may need alternatives for gluten peoples.

Is there like a post that has all the confirmed information that's being continuously updated?

I've not been paying much attention to the thread, mainly because i didnt think i could get the time off work, but things are starting to look a bit more like i could attend this (if it's some time in October?) it would be useful to know or catch up on what's going down.

Nick, I'm updating the spreadsheet on a regular basis with all the information. First post in the thread also has a summary.
