So you need to challenge everyone above you (i.e. Desvergeh) and you will receive challenges from the four players below you.
It's OK, Labbes can submit another challenge to you and you can both just ignore that 3-man game.

I've played a grand total of 0 games and it just showed me that he's played nearly 300 so this might be slightly one sided, should be good!
