    Free games here

I want to put this somewher besides my own bookmarks since it is such a nice resource, although it is gettin somewhat outdated now being that it was published 7 months ago.
Just what the heck am I talkin' about? Its a big free list of videogames of course http://www.reddit.com/r/patientgamer...son_here_is_a/

Anyone else have mega lists of free games or simple recommendations of free games?

    Best Regards,
    RG

    Zelda-like.

Game from To The Moon creator, made in 4 days. Surreal/horror.

    Nice cyberpunk/post-apo flick.

Generally speaking you can find some great games on rpgmaker.net
Just don't be turned down by "jRPG" - many games made in this app are from other genres.

Hmm. Huge lists like that are rather useless, to be honest. I need to know what games are worth my time.

The last time I was looking for free games I found a huge list like that, and the only one I really enjoyed (not that I tried them all lol) was Mechwarrior 4, which is a great Mechwarrior game if you don't mind the dated graphics. (That's a torrent link, but it's all on the up-and-up: that's how MTX is distributing it. Discussed here.)

Turn-based ragdoll fighting! Toribash is pretty awesome and hilariously awkward 95% of the times.

    MWLL = Mechwarrior: Living Legends
A full conversion mod, that can be played for free without Crysis Wars.

Mechwarrior Living Legends had to stop development though due to the Mechwarrior Online release, they had official permission to use the Mechwarrior name until it got used by some other party.

Aye, but if you visit that site you'll wind up keelhauling your own mother, urinating from atop your chimney and pouring rum into your breakfast cereals.

Good point, I have had to go through a lot of free games finding something fun to play. I have quite a few video series from free games. Your post gave me the idea to make a playlist of free games, I put episode 1 of each free game I have shown off at my channel here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...pqPnyckeSmddV6

    Best Regards,
    RG

It's a web game, but MapsTD is quite fun. Defending my house on a google satellite map from waves of enemies is surprisingly compelling! There was a RPS article on it a few days ago.

    Try:

    Fresh:

KeeperRL ,its the last free alpha before it goes commercial, a mix of Dungeonkeeper and a roguelike.

    Shooters:

Reelism , 3D Shooter,Game lasts from 5 to 15 minutes, survive long enough and you can fight an Endboss.
for Example : Mechahitler or the Dogpope.

Hydorah, well done homage to 2d sidescrolling Shooters.

    Opentyrian,Opensource of a Classic 2d Shooter

    The Cleaner

    Iji,2d Platform Shooter

    RTS:

Zero-k,besides Balanced Annihilation and Supcom2:FA,one of the best Total Annihilation-like RTS.

    Roguelikes:
In Order of Complexity/Learning Curve, from low to High.

    TOME

    Stone Soup

    Cataclysm Dark days Ahead
    http://en.cataclysmdda.com/

Incursion Halls of the Goblin King

And if you just want huge Lists of Free Games to sift through:

It has still been on my mind that the #1 problem with free games is finding the most fun ones. Here are is one of the free games that I have had the most fun with lately:

Zineth is my favourite free game, and one of my favourite games regardless. It's amazing.

I've been meaning to try that out! Unfortunately the latest version eats through my RAM like Cookie Monster through cookies so I can't play that...

I'll give my vote for Battle of Wesnoth and OpenTTD. Nice and polished.
