I wonder how they fixed the issue with saving in Windows 7. I still have my Special Edition CD-ROM but every time you try to open the load/save screen it boots you to the desktop. Would love to fix that without buying another copy.

If you know what you're doing it shouldn't be hard to fix this kind of issue using Microsoft's Application Compatibility Toolkit. Or just buy it off gog and be confident that there aren't a dozen other bugs lurking inside.

Personally I prefer SC3000, which seems to run ok on Win7 with only a few tweaks.
