I like, getting a definite DJ Shadow-esqe vibe from it (piano sounds quite similar, though not the same, to one of the tracks on Entroducing). And having mentioned Entroducing I have, of course, to post this:

Perfume Genius' new album is pretty much the best thing released so far this year, I think. I've listened to it more than anything else released this year:
Every year there is an album I love that I unfairly ignored for some utterly aribtrary reason. This could quite well be this years example, so thanks for posting it!
In my defence, it does have a really fucking stupid title, which would probably have made me ignore it again if you hadn't said "new album!"
Bejeesus, you've reminded me what a genius DJ Shadow could be and made me reminisce over summer evenings spent entirely to listening through Entroducing.
What went wrong? How could that have ever represented a dead end in music? We didn't do our duty. It should have been us carrying the flame...
It's not so much the band name (though it ain't great either) it's the album title of "Put Ur Back N 2 It" which just invokes memories of the absolutely dire Ice Cube song.

Well GOODNESS ME.
A shit load of LTJ Bukem mixes, all for free.
My bank balance just gave a cry of joy.
Well, this is an odd one
A beautiful soundtrack and a documentary, all in one!

Bah! My blog is fulla bollox! What? Don't believe me?Here! Just look at it!
If you didn't know, Transit Kings is a project Alex Paterson is involved with. He's best known for his work as the wonderful, wonderful The Orb:
Open-faced sandwiches are upon you whether you would risk it or not.
While there's a lot of weird/wonderful album art off the Malicious Damage label, there's some equally weird/wonderful music off them as well. I can't quite get this out of my head, really
Oh, I know about The Orb! Well, just a bit because I found out about them last week but I didn't know he's involved with Transit Kings! I heard some of his music and found one track(it was about clouds or something) to be quite brilliant. And it's about 20 years old, I think; which is ahead of it's time when it was released

had the pleasure of seeing this guy yesterday. The video probably doesn't do the live experience justice. It was mindblowing.
Play Arma2:CO with us. (It isn't nearly as difficult as you might think.)
It's okay to not like things.
So, another brilliant album (imo) I found here. Tundra and Sunflakes. Loads of good tracks, some catchy, some just brilliant. And out of all the tracks there, here's my favourite

Awesome Voon, I'll have to listen to some more.
For my part, I've decided to try and force summer to appear by breaking out the Orange Juice.
Tom Waits, just because
And this is just beautiful.
Probably the only time you'll see Terence Stamp say 'jibba jabba'.

Currently mid first listen so not much of an opinion yet but it's a Regina album so it's going to be good isn't it?!
If there's one thing I like about Middle-eastern music, it's Taqasim. And everything's better with violins
Elegant, exotic, beautiful

Looking forward to their new album later this year.
