Broadcast is one of the many bands that I wish I would've find sooner.
Trish's detached singing is what further draws me in. Shame that that there would be no more from her.

If someone told me this was released in 1995, I wouldn't bat an eye.
Yay, there's a new Racehorses album out soon.
After listening to Machine Maid, a recommendation from a few pages back, I wandered and ended up here. It's a shame I can't find a version without the annoying empty minutes.

It's one those occasions where you are forced to socialise, I'm quite alright with relatives but total strangers it's a no-no. I'm just not good at making small talks or such things. Driving about 500 km to hometown is very tiring too, especially with maniacs on the expressway.
Besides, most of fondest gaming memories occur during Ramadhan (back then it usually coincide with school holidays - play games all day erry day) so it's quite a special month for me.
OT:
Yeah, spending more than three or so hours in a traffic jam in fucking Karak's a pain in the ass (literally or otherwise) but hey, I usually looked forward to it because it's mostly about going back to the hometown and spend some time with the family. It's more of a family thing, really.
Anyways, back on topic. Rob Hubbard's really good at making music with just the chiptunes from the 'ol Commodore64

I'll admit that while Red Beat isn't really that good, they do make some good tracks sometimes

It has been a while since I've checked up on the ridiculously prolific Euros Childs, mostly because his past few releases have steered away from the poppy wonder of Bore Da and have got increasingly melancholy (which is fine but not in my mind his strongest suit). His new single is aptly named "That's Better" and hopefully his new album continues along the lines of pop excellence therein:
It's also a good week for new folk releases, what with the Unthanks releasing another Diversions album, this time backed by a brass band (gorgeous)

And the lovely Karine Polwart album Traces (which on initial listen I think may be her best yet).
Looks like I'm spamming here but constantly redrafting something is a great time to listen to things. I'd given up on Bloc Party ever releasing anything as good as Silent Alarm so their new album is a really bloody pleasant surprise. Stream it 'ere.
