I like the sound of these guys too...
I hear they're playing at The Good Ship (Kilburn) this Friday.
If I can stop playing Xcom, I'm there.
Thanks to discussing with my friend today, I've been listening to Mouse on the Keys and Portico Quartet.

Production reminds me of Polyphonic:
Mouse on the Keys! Good man. Unrelated but for the drumwork:
Got to see Grizzly Bear last night. I expected them to be good but I was completely blown away by just how amazing they were.
Grizzly Bear - Speak In Rounds
Open-faced sandwiches are upon you whether you would risk it or not.
I like how everyone's listening to fairly random things, it's more diverse and good to see. I'll listen to anything that has a good beat and grabs my attention.
This is fantastic.
OK lets get down to it. Horror film soundtracks...
Halloween III. John Carpenter and Alan Howarth. Pounding dread.
And this from Andrzej Korzynski for the film Possession. The film itself is great, got everything you could want from a horror film. Worth a look for something different to watch.
Not much of the soundtrack on youtube, unfortunately.
Betrayal at Bespin. "Film music" is one of the tags they use on their Bandcamp site, as well as post-rock and post-metal. It fits them just nice.

The fact that there's not an Alamo Drafthouse near me is a source of constant pain:
Goblin!
Been listening to the old Calyx and Teebee album after pre-ordering the new one for monday, such greatness. But, I have also splurged on the singles to get the bonus tunes. Like the one I will paste in here. Must be heard loud:
Also, Audio has released an album that is fantastic and Bcee's remix album is also on my headphones a lot:
Andy Stott's latest is mindblowing.
I found this while browsing youtube randomly. I quite like it. It's a bit repetitive in some places, but I guess that's artistic.
Yeah well, the furnace is nice and warm and I'm bored.
