Thread: What are you listening to?

Anyone wanting some halloween vibes... please check out the podcast I mixed. It's an abstract experimental horror soundtrack vibe... given the stuff Jim has been posting on The Sunday Papers I figure it might be appropriate.

Horse Steppin' is by Sun Araw if anyone's looking to track it down. Excellent stuff.

On a dub tip, Primal Scream - JU-87 (Echo Dek version)

Got this on my mp3 player and I've caught myself dancing in public. I'm not good at dancing.

I still listen to this once in a while to relax.

Coffaro's Theme was actually from a 90s Italian film called "La Scruola" or "The School".

Martha Wainwright also has a new album out I've been listening to alot, especially "Proserpina" which was a song written by her mother (Kate McGarrigle) a few weeks before she died. Martha Wainwright has one of the most beautiful, powerful, bizarre voices out there right now, I think (she did a cover album of Edith Piaf songs that were great). Anyhow, I can't get this song out of my head. It's completely haunting:

Discovered Albannach last night. I am, as far as I know, not even slightly Scottish, but this makes me want to put on a kilt and go running around whatever passes for highlands here (there's a park across the street. That will probably have to do).
