Without a doubt one of the greatest songs ever written and this live version might be even better than the studio version.

I love this thread because it's the most deranged playlist you'll ever hear.

I medically need to hear a band play a live version of this, the best piece of music the ZX Spectrum ever produced. From 1:40 onward is just crying out to be a guitar solo.

I rediscovered my love of J-Rock band Luna Sea and have been bingeing on their stuff. The great thing about listening to songs in a language you don't know is that you're not confronted by the fact that 95% of lyrics are utter tosh and you can instead just focus on the music*.

    * which I guess is also part of why I like incomprehensible death/black metal growling too

I stumbled upon Electric Masadaa the other day, another one of John Zorn's projects. Due to to its supergroup character only a couple of live albums exist but the sound quality is so good, you wouldn't even notice if it wasn't for the audience between tracks. The one I have is appropriately titled At the Mountains of Madness and it's almost 160 minutes long.
What does it sound like? Well, it's really difficult to put into words but imagine Miles David was to record Bitches Brew today and it wouldn't sound very different. It's really rather incredible. Just listen to this:

I used to love Zorn's Masada project. Dave Douglas' trumpet work was stellar.
