Love it, but the Matrix sample gave me horrible flashbacks.

Yeah big fan of those two, Demdike especially.
Since one of the songs from it popped up on random I listened to Stop Making Sense by the Talking Heads for the first time in ages. i'd almost forgotten just how bloody amazing a live album it it. So many great songs. It's also one of those live sets that it's so worth getting a DVD of, David Byrne is utterly compelling to watch.
It's an amazing show. Always been a fan of Talking Heads but I hadn't watched this until a friend suggested it to me, pretty stunning watching it for the first time. What I love about it is how most of the songs are probably better than the album versions. Great set of musicians they have to complement them.
Have you watched the 1980 live in Rome vids that are also on youtube? Sound quality isn't as good but it's great hearing their earlier stuff live. The version of Drugs they do is probably my favourite.
I haven't no. I also have to admit to not owning any other Talking Heads music, largely because I heard the original versions of a few of the songs and preferred the versions on SMS. They are definitely still part of my stupidly large "must get around to buying more music by this band/artist" list.
Yeah I really can't listen to the album version of This Must Be The Place. Doesn't even compare.
Everyone should own Remain in Light, though. Then move onto the Tom Tom Club!
Artist of the week for me, discovered during an episode of "Lost Girl"
Very smooth.
All times I have enjoyed greatly, have suffered greatly, both with those that loved me, and alone.
Feck me this is awesome, kind of throwback 60's psychadelic alt-country. If this had been played at Woodstock, she would have been a Goddess.
Also, love the Talking Heads live stuff... not seen it before
And if you liked that, you'll probably like this. Joanna Newsom live, doing her crazy, breathy singing- check out the multi-instrumental drummer.. fantastic
Lana Del Rey, "Video Games"

Man I love Soft as Chalk. It was my favourite song on that album (closely followed by Go Lomg with its multiple harp tracks). I love it when artists give a shit about having some dynamic range, that song starts so quiet and gentle, so you turn it then it builds up a little in the chorus with "Godawful lawlessness" and then in the last minute or so just cranks up again. Really, want to listen to Have One On Me again now, it's wonderful.
Something to ease my troubled mind
I quite liked the music in the Ibb and Obb trailer posted on RPS the other day so decided to check out the artist that made it.
Guitars
Open-faced sandwiches are upon you whether you would risk it or not.
Youtube compression does the video no favors, but this is a great song.
Something spetacular
and something trippy
