Rob Dougan. What the hell is he doing now? He's got a winery or something? He should make more music.

It came! Keepers of the Light. I spent all of Sunday listening to LHF. It's strange how music you've had on vinyl or just glimpsed on radio can suddenly change when crafted into an album. The new tracks are just as amazing. LHF have for a long time been the most interesting thing in music for me. So glad they finally have an album that shows everyone what they are all about.

I'd say just about everyone should own this.

War movies. Despite being frequently violent, they do have some sad, gloomy soundtracks. Enough to make a man crumble

Lately I've been almost exclusively listening to mixes by grizzly:

    http://soundcloud.com/grizzly

He's a berlin based not quite techno dj, who stareted out by uploading mixes to soundcloud and is now in hot demand. Listen to it, even if you generally don't like electronic music or techno. If the word smooth didn't yet exist, it would have to be invented for his music. (Especially check out Nanu Nana, which starts with one of the most relaxing pieces of music you've ever heard).

More mixes can be found here: http://grizzlymix.blogspot.com

30 years and Frank K is still going strong. Some of his music sounds distinctively 90s, tho

Having (finally) released our debut record I've been listening to my band, Tales of Murder and Dust, all the time reading RPS (when not playing concerts). Have a listen if you feel like it - it's Pay What You Want: http://talesofmurderanddust.bandcamp.com

Here's some sweet visuals to go with those psychedelic vibes, if you prefer that sort of thing:

Can't help it. I love acoustic neo-folkish music.

Northern Kings, they are a group of four guys from successful metal bands coming together to do metal covers of popular songs. They metalize Take On Me, that very popular Journey song and Michael Jackson

    @ Kaira

    That is rather gorgeous.

As for me I had my first listen to this:

Will need to give it a few more listens at the moment there's some stand out bits I love but quite a few tracks I'm feeling indifferent to but could well be growers. Definitely different from anything else in my music collection, it's always refreshing to try something new. Prefer it to the Shabazz Palaces stuff, which didn't quite click with me for some reason.

Loving that Lampchops. QueenS is gorgeous.

OK, I just spent the last hour trying desperately to think who they reminded me of. It was on the edge of my memory and sending me a little mad.

Ursula Rucker. Spoken word poet who just happens to make great music too.

I can see me entering into a little hip hop phase again, what with realising Ugly Duckling released an album last year that had passed me by and stuff from the Quakers album (guy from Portishead and two other producers release 41 track album with a shit load of rappers) sounding rather excellent.

Oh and speaking of albums that snuck by me, i've also been listening to The Fantastics! whose latest album All the People didn't cross my radar until I chanced on it when playing their debut album on Spotify. Funky gooness that never fails to put a smile on my face.

The album its in is pretty good I have to say as well but that song is the high point.

Theres this interesting chillwave album that I need a few listens to get really into but i quite like first listen to.
