Yeah, Pelican is a name I already know. The Fire... is one hell of a an album. Russian Circles wasn't, so I'll have to check that out.

Anyway, I've been... 'feeling' with Steve von Till (of Neurosis fame) with his solo work. Absolutely magnificent acoustic ballads. Just put rainymood (or use the rain-effect on Clementine) and listen to this.

I'm listening to Doc Scott, Rufige Cru, 4hero, and Nookie's old Reinforced Records catalogs today. Love old English jungle.

I listened to the new Goldeneye song made for the game remake.
It's terrible. It's pretty similar to the old one (which in my opinion is one of the best Bond songs ever) only instead of Tina Turner they have someone doing a bad Tina Turner impression. Sadly the new singer doesn't have the voice nor the strong yet suggestive intonation that characterises Turner's version.

Those are old familiars for me. Let's just throw Isis, Mouth of the Architect, Sólstafir, Callisto, Disappearer and Year of No Light in so we have about all of the big post-metal names.
[E] If you enjoy Jess and the Ancient Ones, I'd recommend also The Devil's Blood and Year of the Goat and Hexvessel.

Anyway, I've been listening to Ulver's Childhood's End for a while now, and I don't know, not quite what I expected, but then again, most songs are not familiar to me by any margin. But I love their version of "I Had Too Much to Dream (Last Night)".

Tikey got me listening to Bond openings, and before I knew it an hour had vanished. The Spy Who Loved Me has the best! Outside of ReBoot's 'Firewall' of course.

Remember when Batman wore pink? Me neither. But there's this beautiful song about it, featured in some game with a narrator with a sexy voice. I wonder which game was that?

Man, no one I know knows Tides! You just gained 20 cool points. Resurface is crazy wicked.

Russian Circles fans might check out Red Sparrowes as well. And speaking of wicked, some folks might dig Electric Wizard as well.

Yep. And From Russia with Love pretty boss, too.

Still a bit surprised why they didn't include some dancing women in the intro in Casino Royale 'coz probably all the Bond intros have that, but that's another story.
