Oh, plus I discovered a band called "Xiu Xiu" a while back. They remind me a bit of the Magnetic Fields, which is good. I listened to them alot while playing ME3 so I just kind of associate them with ME3 now---which is weird.

Anyhow, this is my favorite song of theirs. I've listened to it like 8,000 times now:

It has a very, very, Brian Eno vibe to it. It reminds me of Eno's "St Elmo's Fire":

I hardly listen to any of the tracks from KJ's MMXII but not that they suck, no. Just forgotten about them. So, I heard this one from their Bristol gig and then looked around for the studio version of it. Powerful track, this one

I've been reading these forums for some time. However, I've remained a silent observer, since usually someone has already said it better. I finally registered today in order to post a new thread only to find out that I'm unable to do so at first. So, I'm sorry if my post doesn't fit in here as well as it might.

Anyway, a site called ektoplazm - a portal for downloading free and legal psy, techno and downtempo music is doing a crowdfunding campaign. More info about the site here - http://www.ektoplazm.com/blog/a-begi...e-to-ektoplazm

Again, I'm sorry, if my post is out of place, but since it seemed like the only thread about music, I chose to post here. I'd naturally appreciate it, if anyone could make a new thread about the matter instead. Thanks.

I find music in the strangest places. This one's featured in the not-so-great sequel to the one of the best puzzle games ever made since Tetris. The Go! Team is fantastic in this one. Love that energy.

Need to get my hands on that Dirty Projectors album, hearing a lot of good stuff about it. Want to get my hands on that Forbidden Planet OST too, if I'm honest.

Have to stick to free stuff on youtube for now. Which is why this thread is the bestest ever.

My buddy Alexander founded that site! Cool to see you mention it.

He goes by the DJ name Basilisk and used to produce music (and art and fonts) as Dieznyik. He's quite a talented guy. He once remixed a song I wrote and played it at a rave!

As for what I'm listening to, I spent this month's emusic.com credits on industrial, techno, and breakcore. Apoptygma Berzerk, Original Hamster, and Bong-Ra.

Do anyone else prefer this version of Over the Rainbow to the original? Just love the way Iz sings it

Since I've come back home, I've been browsing the music channels. Two bands piqued my interest and then I went to my local friendly Amazon website and bought a not small amount of albums.

Dorktacular weekend. My wife and I started playing Guild Wars 2 on Friday evening, blinked, and then it was time to go to work on Monday.

We listened to Jeremy Soule's soundtrack as we played and it's beautiful and very reminiscent of the first game, seemingly taking some songs verbatim. It's variable and very complementary to the scenery and action.

Not really fan of their other works, but this just sticks with me. I blame the Dark Souls trailer.

I'm listening to some obscure jungle tunes and mixes from Tykal's abandoned vinyl rip blog. Not only does he have some great music I've never heard before, he's a fantastic and passionate writer.

They're one of my favorites of the last decade for sure. They make me feel like Rocky training for the big fight, no matter what I'm doing.

Here's one I wish was an album track. It's a bit groovier than their usual stuff:
