Apparently browsing the (relative) paucity of gigs in Oxford is occasionally worthwhile as listening to upcoming acts I'd never heard of led me to this slice of folk loveliness.

You're right, that is quite lovely. She has a beautiful voice. Since I have a bit of a weakness for women with pretty voices, here's some more folk goodness.

Been trying some aggrotech/industrial dance stuff out in Audiosurf. Found it quite absorbing.

Monday of partying, and wandering away from my normal metal repertoire. Quite catchy, love the melody on the chorus.

One of those tunes that I'll be listening a lot to for a while and then completely forget about it until I rediscover it in a couple of months or even years.

3 years after everyone else but better late than never right! Despite listening to a lot of good stuff there's not yet been one that I've obsessively listened to and this has been filling the gap rather nicely. Perfect album for some late night listening. Sterile drum programming, really clean guitar, laid back vocals yet it all somehow comes together to sound rather warm and lovely.

^ DOOM represent. I had Madvillainy on repeat forever.

I can't let go of Tortoise. Every album is consistently sublime.

Like Half-Life's OST, I tend to forget how great the OST is in STALKER. And when I say OST, I meant campfire music. It's just great to chillout in campfires just to wait for a fellow stalker to play one of these

I've been binging on Half Man Half Biscuit again, this time going backwards as I'd only ever got around to buying their most recent couple of albums. I've decided that my favourite is probably still Achtung Bono and that

"We've just been performing a guerilla gig
In the middle of another group's guerilla gig
Well surely that's the ultimate guerilla gig
But still they cried like girls

are probably my favourite opening lyrics to any song.
