I could swear I just post something here. Why does RPS eat every second fucking comment of mine?

Anyway, what I meant to say was that I recently rediscovered my copy of NeveroddoreveN and as such have been listeing to a lot of I monster.

I've also been listening to my favourite band of the now, Rolo Tomassi.

I've just realised both these bands are from Sheffield, I might have to take a trip down if there are any more women that look like Eva Spence.

My brother has recently insisted that I listen to the lonely island album. yes some of the songs are quite funny, but on the other hand I did not need to listen to a full album of them.

The new All Shall Perish album, it's some good solid metal.

for whatever reason I remembered seeing a guy calling himself Maverick Sabre on Jools Holland, and I have been listening to the stuff he has up on his site. I don't think that he has a bad track up there, really looking forward to see if he can put together a good album later this year.

    The end of part 2b

I found it on a tape yeeaarrs ago and couldn't stop listening to it, people I played
it to didn't know what it was (which is surprising now)...Through the magic of newly (at the time)
invented trickery, Shazam, I discovered it's identity. It was a great moment. The mystery
that surrounds my initial listening still imbues the music with something I can't
describe. It was all mine. It still feels very personal, and as beautiful as when I first heard.

Oh, sing a song of joy
    Sweet childhood, never desert me
    Time for celebration
Overcome with a sense of elation
I'll never let you get to me
    Survival is my victory

Was listening to a lot of early 90s music like Baby D, Snow and K7 this week. All in preparation for a wonderful boogie at Kisstory, yeah that was the ticket.

Christopher Tin's "Calling All Dawns," which I must say is just epically brilliant. There's even a games connection, as the first track is Civ 4's own absolutely gorgeous intro piece "Baba Yetu."

you know when you don't listen to an album for years, then come back to it and it sounds so fresh, almost like listening to it for the first time? dark side of the moon is playing into my ears right now and its just amazing, must be getting on three years since I last listened to it.

Kanye West 808s and Heartbreaks and MBDTF. I've been I think a bit harsh on Kanye Westm i think i really like 808s, probably because its more pop then rap also its pretty damn emotionally wrenching, I don't think i've heard a singer pour his heart out like that. Its really strong! As for MBDTF, its alright, the rapping does go on a bit long and i don't really know why it was so critically acclaimed, but there is one song on there that is really really beutiful.

Good call there Lambchops, like what I've heard on youtube.

Just this morning bought an LP called Summr Bummr by Greg Olin going under the name Graves. To my ears he sounds like a mix of Cat Stevens and Bill Callahan.
