I had a pretty proggy weekend. I don't think I listened to anything shorter than 9 minutes long. This one is about average, at 17 minutes.

Veruca Salt have reformed. I always miss the 90s, so for me this is a good thing.

Kelela released her mixtape (I mean, it's an album in all but name) Cut 4 Me yesterday and it lives up to all the hype I've been reading about her. A load of amazing producers and her stunning voice. You can get it for free here so there's no excuse not to try it.

New Sleigh Bells album streaming. Initial thoughts from me is that it's much better than Reign of Terror (commands your attention with properly loud tracks more, less dull moments) but probably still not as good as Treats.

Weird and a bit NSFW( some nudity for 5 seconds) video, very catchy.

A lot of Witch House, which is a genre I've stumbled upon (who knew?), but can't get enough of.

    Favs so far:

Mind your eyes. I used to run this for hours, but now I can't even look at it without getting a migraine.

My local record store has started doing a mix CD exchange. While this allows me to indulge in making tenuously themed playlists (did a Scottish only playlist based on the 4 seasons and am planning science themed playlists and one where the track number is in the track title) it also is a chance to discover new things and the first mix CD I picked up I deliberate chose to have very few artists I recognize. It's a pretty good one the best find on it was undoubtedly this:
