    @ Kieron

Both of those are rather wonderful.

Further to my John Knox Sex Club ramblings above, I can't stop listening to this track, which is definitely up there in my mental list of favourite songs this year.

Oh and I've also been listening to the new Beirut album quite a bit, it's rather lovely.

Came cross this via an article on the Guardian about music 'inspired' by David Lynch: -

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2011/...nfluence-music

Annoyingly not out as a single until next month, but it is rather catchy if you give it a couple of listens (Video whilst enjoyable is optional). Don't be put off by her duckface (personally I like the bee stung look, but it's not everyone's thing).

Swans, mostly. Also checked out the recent Shabazz Palaces LP, Black Up, awesome abstract hip-hop if you're into that sort of thing.

    Very interesting thread.
I am listening Justin Beiber's song "Never say never". I like all songs of his albums and why are you asking that.

Decided to go and listen Muse's newest album. Didn't really like it, so I guess I'll just stick with Absolution and Origin of Symmetry.

Grizzly Bear and Modest Mouse are monopolising my time at the moment.

If I grow a bit bored of them though then I'll sink my ears into either Kaki King (recommended by someone on old RPS forums - so thanks whoever that is) or At the Drive-In.

Sticking with the lynch theme I've been getting back into his soundtracks:-

The Pink room from TP:FWWM: -

Don't expect much from the video, but it's a great rolling instrumental.

    Also (and completely unrelated): -

Max Cyrin Piano cover of the Pixies 'where is my mind'

Great use of old film footage for the video as well.

My god, probably the best album I've heard for awhile now. And I've only listened to it all once! I think after a few listens it might be up there.

Its from Neon Indian and the album is Era Extrana

Just saw that Tomas Dvorak, of Machinarium soundtrack fame, has a new album out and you can listen to it (and buy it) on his website: http://www.floex.cz/

If you liked the music in Machinarium you'll probably like this as well. If you didn't like the music in Machinarium you should see a doctor because there's probably something wrong with you :)

The Balam Acab album is as wonderful as everyone said it was. I never knew chipmunk vocals could be so evocative.

After all the wonderfully cringeworthy comments about dubstep on the Syndicate trailer article I just thought I'd post this nice compilation that Adult Swim of all people have put together. Lots of good new stuff in there. Obviously some of the artists stopped being anything like dubstep a long time ago but most of them are associated with or come from the scene.

The new Cooly G track is probably my favourite, sounding like some crazy remix of a John Carpenter track. The Kode9 and Lukid tracks are pretty wonderful, too. And not an ounce of wub to be heard.

    Here you go:
    http://www.adultswim.com/promos/201109_unclassified/

Edit: Can an ounce be heard? Maybe not.
