Ah jaysis... I feel rotten... Neurosis played a blinder in Dublin last night and I took too much of everything.
Mates of mine who supported them, Drainland-

Omnium Gatherum, not really a fan of their newer albums but "Years in Waste" is one of the best melodeath albums I've ever heard.

And even though The Haunted's new album has gotten quite a whipping in the internet, I really like it. One of my favourites from them.

Metalucifer, playing it like 1986 never ended so the NWOBHM is still going strong only now it's in Japan and we were saved from disappointments like Blaze-era Maiden and Saxon's descent into self parody. Boy I hope that Angel Witch release another album, Screamin' n' Bleedin' slayed.

I'll keep the NWOBHM going with my NWOBHM mixtape that I haven't shared here yet. I'll have to get started on the next one now that I'm really in the mood. So stand to fight and eat the rich 'cause it's hell on wheels during this Soviet invasion we call the war of the ring.

    Go fetch.

Great mixtape, it has some old favorites(Scarab, Arc, Witchfinder, Siege, Traitors Gate) but most were news to me. Sick bass on that Ground Attack tune:)

My favourite of the current crop of Swedish throw-backs.

I'm not a massive metal aficionado and I haven't heard of 90% of the stuff posted here, but I do like a good blast once in a while.

Pain are currently and have been for a good few years now my fave metal band.

Oh and recently I also quite like this one by Satyricon. Shame about the tinny sound on the video.

They are cool and friendly guys, i've had a few beers with the singer and O.Thunder on festivals. Friends of friends. SWING THE STUDDED MACE!

Something similar from times long gone:

Sweden may be the new home of heavy metal but here's some more from the old one.

This thread needs a wake up and what better way to do it than with a dose of toughness. Possibly the only thing more aggressively metal than these four is Deathwish back on the first page but that would be a very close call.

Some tongue in cheek metal cheese from Massacration

Donīt let that stop you listening to this from Macaco Bong - another Brazilian rock group but from different planet entirely.
