    Covert video to ASCII

There's this option in VLC to view videos in ASCII format, but when I view them it's too difficult to make out what's going on.
In the example provided by this guy (especially at the end)-
    http://www.roysac.com/blog/2009/03/c...scii-text-art/

the effect is better, there are far more lines making it a lot easier to understand.... (there are also instructions to get the ASCII effect)
Anyone know how I might achieve something close to this with my own videos?
Should I just do something in far higher quality? If I shrink the screen way down it's better, could I make a large video and shrink it to normal size?
Maybe this should be in tech help? Seems to be mostly hardware over there...

Surely that's because it's covert video.

    Can you repost the link?
All times I have enjoyed greatly, have suffered greatly, both with those that loved me, and alone.

Well, I can get more lines with an older version of VLC but no colour... might have to do a bit of experimenting :) Oh wait, that should be :(

Just discovered ASCIImeo, it's quite nice-

    http://asciimeo.com/

Now I just need something like this to convert my own videos..

Maybe I could just upload stuff to vimeo and screencapture them... seems a bit convoluted
