A messy match was played by The Friendly Little Fellas and It Came for Dessert. Both teams injured about 3 opposing players and the turf claimed about as many casualties.

The halflings started on offense. The fanatic on the line of scrimmage was the prime target of Deeproot Stronbranch who sent him off with a headache. Deeproot himself was stunned by the Looney's aptitude in the art of chainsaws. This feat achieved him the mvp prize. Tussling on the LoS proved to be tiring for the treemen, so they all decided to take a nice, long nap. For two turns, none of them would get up! The halflings ran up and down the field trying to keep away from the goblins. Meanwhile, the bombardier goblin kept on lobbing his bombs at them until he didn't and then blew himself up. That ended ntw's turn prematurely and left his players too far to try to stop the halflings advance by the sideline. The AG4 goblin managed to dash after them, but was crowd-surfed instead. First TD on turn 5. By this time the goblins had lost 6 players, so they could field only five. Thus, the game was pretty much played by then. The pogoer got a chance to score by going after the badly protected ball. His attempt was foiled by the slippery grass at the end-zone, however.

The second half was more boring by being so one-sided. The goblins couldn't keep the ball with such few players and the halflings scored twice. By the end of the match there were only three of Fellas left on the pitch.

3-0 for It Came for Dessert

Busy-ish week, hopefully post later with a date and time. And I'm not afraid - I'm terrified, I honestly don't think they've ever done anything worthwhile.

El Cubo, we must fight! I can make tomorrow or Friday evening from 20:00, pretty much any time Sunday, and Tuesday evening next week (pending all the other games I need to arrange).

Bully Culprits (Goblins, me) vs Sunny Day Snotling Creche (Ogres, GC)

Groovychainsaw's Ogres and my goblins squared off yesterday for a challenging game. A bout of appallingly nuffly luck with my bombardier (seriously, two turns in a row, the bomb was caught and throw to hit my pogo square on - with missed throws!) killed my early momentum and allowed GC's AG3 ogre to run through the lines with the ball. My trolls fared a lot better on the throwing front, sending three goblins deep into my own half to muster a meagre defence against the ogre battering ram in front of them. It didn't work.

    Half time: Creche 1-0 Culprits

Not a lot did work, actually. I was losing the casualty race by a long way - even one of my level 3 goblins kicked the bucket early in the first half - and set up for the second half with only 7 Culprits the pitch. Badly outnumbered and with continued bad luck with the dice, I could do little to stop GC's second touchdown from his almighty AG 3 Ogre.

One final TTM attempt and chance at a consolation goal was foiled by a long kick. My trolls finally warmed up their punching arms late in the match though, managing to bag a couple of casualties (and enough to get my second troll to level 3), so it wasn't a total disaster.

    Full time: Creche 2-0 Culprits

Cheers for the game GC. I might have been undermined by some dice rolls, but regardless you played your team extremely well. You've tempted me to make an Ogre squad some time!

My troll also rolled a double on his skill-up! :D He took Pro so watch out, my troll's suddenly grown half a brain!
