To the Moon is now on Steam at 6.39 euro until Friday, full price going to be 8 euro. I've no way of knowing how good this is elsewhere, but for me it would be a bit cheaper than the developer's 10 euro plus tax, which works out at about 12.

Precursors is available on ShopTo (Download) for only 2.84

As a cheap bastard i'm still not sure on this purchase although I thoroughly enjoyed Boiling Point (up until it stopped working).
    Also hello everyone.

Does it still have StarForce? I would have bought it early if was not for that.

It does, as far as I know. I've almost bought it several times when it's been on sale at Gamersgate, but the DRM is just unacceptable.

I'm sure someone will think of something, until then stare deeply at this screenshot.

I've one; I dislike this kind of game, specially when it's so old.

    Mighty kind of GoG nevertheless.

    PS: Welcome back, Wizardry.

Regarding the mid-week sale on Steam of Red Faction.

Guerilla is a fantastic open-world game with some great, versatile game-play and phenomenal destruction capabilities. If you like open world games, you'll want this. Armageddon is a linear third person shooter. Wait, come back! Okay, so it's not amazing and it does have its issues, it is, however, a very competent game with some satisfying weapons and does nothing to offend. It does have some stand-out moments, particularly when you're using a vehicle. I recommend getting the Path to War DLC, as the cost/time justifies it, whilst the content itself is probably some of the best in the game. That's if you do buy Armageddon. If you were only going to get one, Guerilla by a long-shot. If you're interested in more Red Faction, Armageddon is still interesting, just less so than Guerilla.

I also full-heartedly suggest Guerilla. Even if you don't like open world games in general, give it a shot. The devs figured out that everyone just tends to cause havoc and blow stuff up anyway. Guess how you unlock and progress? I'll give you a hint: It involves driving an ambulance through a building :p

Armageddon I think is average, at best. The guns are largely without character and it goes back to RF1-style destruction (yay, I can blow up the stairs... But not that wall. Uhm...), but I do give them massive credit for letting you fix all the crap you break, which minimizes the need for unbreakable floors.
And I think the DLC was garbage.
    Steam: Gundato
    PSN: Gundato
If you want me on either service, I suggest PMing me here first to let me know who you are.

Nice to see you back, Wiz. I'm curious, what's your take on Inquisitor now that GOG's reminded me it exists?

I liked Armageddon much more than Guerilla. At least it didn't pretend to have a story. Much.
Both games are pretty bad though, so only buy if you have nothing else to do.

    My 2c.

Armageddon is OK, Guerrilla is alright too. If I had to pick just one, I guess I'd pick Guerrilla. I found Armageddon kind of creepy and a lot more tense in some places though, so if that's you deal, you might prefer it.

Isn't that the Diablo-like game that recently appeared? I'm not the biggest fan of those kind of games but it looks deeper and more challenging than other Diablo clones out there so it may be worth a look at.

Is it? I was under the impression it was more in the Infinity-engine wheelhouse.

From what I've seen it reminds me of Arcanum, in the real-time mode. Which wasn't exactly great...
Irrelevant on further examination of the rest of the thread.

Hmmm. Well that wasn't the impression I got from this trailer, but it may be misleading.

People on GOG have been favorably comparing it to Divine Divinity, which is closer to Diablo but more of an RPG.

Spec Ops: The Line is now officially a thermonuclear bomb. Price dropped to $29.99/19.99€ everywhere. That's two and a half months after launch.
