Good catch. I'd prefer a Steam key. Strange that GMG aren't offering one for pre-orders.

That's only the Unfinished Business expansion for Jagged Alliance 2. New players want JA2 Gold, which is not on sale (presumably wasn't published by Interplay).

You're right, I completely misread that, thanks for pointing it out. Oddly enough, according to the official website Unfinished Business was published by JoWood Productions Software AG, but GOG lists Interplay as publisher.

You mean the CD key, right? I've got Forged Alliance as a Steam key but see no trace of the original in my library.

sorry yes, the retail key of either unlocks both though.

Cool, your replying was faster than my PC restoring and reinstalling the 8 gigs of Forged Alliance. Guess I'm screwed then, Wikipedia says you can only play the Seraphim and none of the old factions online if you only own FA.

That was the case on GPGnet, which is now defunct, but I don't know if the same holds true of the Steam version or the Forged Alliance Forever client & patch & mod. I would ask in the FAF lobby chat, but it seems to be down and doesn't always work for me.

I registered my original SupCom retail key on Steam, and then installed only FA and FAF, and no mention has been made of factions being locked. Since they're giving both SC and FA to anyone with a retail key for either, it wouldn't surprise me if the faction restriction for only owning FA was no longer in effect. The version does seem to be Steam-specific, but it may or may not be checking the keys for faction unlocks via Steam. I played a custom FAF bot match, and the it mentions quitting back to GPGnet from the menu, so I'm guessing it's not based on the Steam-updated code that now does matchmaking and such.

There doesn't seem to be a Google-able answer out there, but it can't hurt to try it.

I bounced-off the demo as it seemed to walk me into certain death within 2-3 mins EVERY time - I'm still tempted tho...

It is now the same price (at least in USD) on Steam. It's a tough roguelike for sure. Since it's not for everyone, I would strongly recommend trying out the demo before buying: http://www.indiedb.com/games/telegli...ated/downloads

It's definitely cheaper at Gamersgate for us eurofolks. Maybe I'll pick it up.

I had already visited that one. When the download is supposed to start I'm told the web hasn't been found. >.< Thanks anyway. ^^

The link works for me just fine. I still had the demo installed, so here's a reupload.

Amazon inform me they have all* of the XCOM games for $10, and they register on Steam.

N.b. that looks like a referral link, (I don't think it is), but click at your own peril!

opinions? will I regret this purchase?

GMG is offering a free game of your choice (between Civilization V and Mafia II) in exchange for your vote in the Golden Joysticks.
