Never played GHost Recon: Future Soldier (controls didn't work when I eventually tried it...), but the GRAW games are actually REALLY good and are pretty much the same as the original Ghost Recon games, but modernized. They are still VERY tactical and still have a lot of the great "stealthy approaches followed by completely bonkers shootout as you hold off reinforcements" that characterized GR1. If you want something frustrating as hell but fun, GRAW (PC) fits that bill.

Future Soldier is neat. Gun porn. Great visual design. Not really challenging but still satisfying as hell.

I'm the resident Splinter Cell Conviction/Blacklist apologist. I think both are dripping with so many good ideas and freedom of execution they justify the a separate franchise to Splinter Cell, Conviction is like Chaos Theory before it 3 different games all wearing the same clothes.
1: Conviction: Campaign is a Hollywood linear action game with stealth elements, you also have the super hero power of "not needing to bother aiming" at 3 or 4 guys once for every time you give a mercenary a surprise hug. This game is quite good if a touch funnelled.
2: Conviction: Deniable Ops is a stealth skirmish, can choose the conditions of your opposition, you can play it coop, in a horde/defence mode or linear through a story. Its well polished carefully designed and customisation of both your character and the challenge you face is excelent.
3: Conviction: Spy vs Spy is a multiplayer stealth/action game with an excellent twist, you and your 1 opponent are being hunted by up to 2 dozen guards, these guards are no match for you but can still kill you near instantly if you are exposed, but they are not your quarry, you want to kill your opponent the other human controlled spy. This is the best thing in conviction and nearly no-one ever played it.
Interestingly Blacklist has realised the customisation is fun and its a few games too, a "EFF yeah america"(but not really if you read deeper) campaign, a beautiful recreation of Chaos Theory's Spy vs Merc multiplayer brought up to modern graphical standards, but what many people don't realise is that Blacklist is actually the greatest homage to HOTLINE MIAMI going with comboes and scoreboards, attack dogs and painfully limited ammo. Drop the silencer, get an assault rifle/shotgun and play on the hardest difficulty and play an embassy 4E mission. Most stealth games with guns I toyingly call hide and seek with guns, but without a silencer Blacklist can often veer right into peekaboo like Hotline Miami. You need to be highly mobile and thoughtfully mix your tools to efficiently kill before the next part of the wave of reinforcements arrives. just like HM you'll run out of ammo drop your gun and have to salvage the equipment from the fallen, except the attack dogs who sadly cannot be distracted with a dog mask. You need to move and adapt your plan on the fly and you die brutally fast at the first mistake you make.
Both games Along with Chaos Theory should be essential reading for anyone trying to make a stealth game.

DISCLAIMER: All information was obtained through youtube, reddit, and the steam/facepunch forums. The game itself really interests me but every time I research it I find more problems.

Yeah the LE was as cheap as the both the two story DLC's. If it helps you at all to know, if you own Skyrim and then buy the LE just for the DLC, you don't end up with another copy of Skyrim in your library. Your current copy will be upgraded to give you access to the DLC."Halo is designed to make the player think "I look like that, I am macho sitting in my undies with my xbox""
