Seems unnecessary to mention, but every Steam sale pretty much... ever.
Red Faction 1, 2, and Guerilla 75% off, this weekend.
Academagia is currently on sale on both Beamdog and, a bit more expensive, Impulse (the 'survey2010' coupon still works).

Oh! There is also one of these things that allows you to play a game for a certain amount of time in order to figure out whether you want to buy it: http://www.academagia.com/admissions.html You know, like in the olden days from even before the days of the first RPS forum.
It's not on sale, but I picked up Shogun 2 for £12.99 on Amazon. Activates on Steam and what not. I can't imagine it being this cheap forever, so you might want to get it now while it's still this much.

Shogun 2 is currently £14.99 in-store at HMv in the UK - only bigger branches seem to stock PC games these days though.
Unreal 2004 £2.99 (online shop not a download)

I was gonna get it, but want to get the gog.com one

I paid a full pre-order price for this :(. Doh.

There's RPS's take on it.
1 and 2 are dated, but were/are good games for the time.
For me personally, I rank them in the order they came out, best to worst.
Let me do a short review of each:
RF1: Lots of fun, destruction is great, especially for 2001. A can't-miss for $2.50
RF2: Has nothing to do with the first, is pretty horrible compared to the first one, but for $2.50 it's a fun timewaster with bots in multiplayer.
RFG: The destruction is fun for a bit, but within 3-4 hours I was bored of it and had no inclination to continue. The shooting is bad, the weapon variety is worse, and the challenge modes are pretty limited.
Thanks guys! And thanks for pointin' to this Kieron's article, cleared the topic out for me. Bought Gorilla (yeah, 2,5 Euro's not a problem).
But I think I'll pass on RF1, I won't play this one... and buying only for the sake of having it on Steam kinda misses the point. Wonder what they're gonna give us today in the daily deals, though.
RF:G is awesome. All you need to know is this. Grand Theft Auto meets Total Recall. If that makes you jump up and down at the thought then it's well worth it. I got 26 very fun hours out of it.
I mean what's not to like about rescueing hostages by running a semi tralier through a gate and then chopping through walls with a hammer?
Impulse have Crysis 2 Limited Edition on sale for 50% off this weekend, at least in the US. Not bad given that most places it's still listed at full price.
@berlin: not all impulse games can be activated on steam, just those that need steam. also on magicka's page from impulse there's this:
IMPORTANT NOTICE: This game requires a 3rd party client to download, install and play.
Another in support of Guerilla. Suffers from open-world/sandbox fatigue, wherein a few hours you may get a bit bored, but it's otherwise very enjoyable.
To remind from the last thread, Shift 2: Unleashed is £13 both in-store and online at HMV. New game, come down in price...possibly as a counter to Dirt 3? Who knows, but it's there and got some decent reviews.
While we're on it, would it be worth making a separate thread for all Steam sales? They happen so often that others are bound to get lost in between other posts?
