That email is sent when you turn off the auto-renew.

I assume it just automatically sends that to you if your account expires within x days and you don't have auto-renew on. Certainly I got it moments after switching it off.

Zeno Clash is worth it, the only other game that looks interesting to me is Lume, but it had pretty bad reviews. Since I already own Zeno Clash I think I will pass on this one...

Also the Jedi Knight Collection is Steam's Daily Deal at $5.

So I think Steams 50% Stronghold 3 sale is the first I've seen it substantially marked-down. What say you that are playing the many-times-patched version these days? Is half-off a worthwhile buy for fans of the series?

Ohhhh! Thanks for that. At least 3 of those I've hovered over with a "Do I buy or not?" thought going through my head, deciding not to each time. This kinda settles it.

Requires Origin. You can usually activate the licence code straight into Origin.
Just to multi-check: can the Origin version get the Time Trial DLC for the game? I have Mirror's Edge on Steam but have been eternally pissed off that you can't get the DLC for it, but would have no problem getting another copy on the cheap if it would work then.

Yeah, as Origin is the only place you can buy it.

Much obliged. Mirror's Edge now joins the list of games which I own more than once. Well deservedly so too.

[My word GMG has the most dickishly dire site I've dealt with in a while]

Be mindful, often EA games from other services can be activated on origin.
I'm failing to writing a blog, specifically about playing games the wrong way

Call of Juarez: The Cartel seems to have silently gone on sale on Steam for £6.80, which is 66% off.

Not sure what the DRM status is on it, though, but it doesn't seem to be listed as Always-On, but I believe it has UPlay. And Steamworks.

IIRC anything released from 2009 onwards should be capable of activation on Origin regardless of where it's from. Or so they claim.

Think that's basically correct. I had some trouble registering my retail copy of "The Saboteur" (from late 2009), but contacted support and they added it to my origin account pretty quickly.

Just registered for the IGN Prime membership and got King Arthur and Rochard for free, in addition to the 15% off of everything ever at GamersGate. Pretty sweet deal for nothin'.

    I preordered from Gamersgate.

Speaking of Gamersgate, Sengoku is 75% off today only. Anyone know whether it's worth bothering with yet? Particularly given that CK2 is out tomorrow.

Sengoku has more plots (kidnapping, opening gates to reduce fortifications, etc) thanks to ninjas but is worse in every other way.

I'm going with GamersGate for that 15% + 5% blue coins.

Costs just under £27 and you'll get about £1.35 in blue coins.

Without the blanket 15% I suggest shopping around.

I wouldn't usually spend so much but my boss* told me what to do.

I know I'm going to get screwed by dlc prices mind.
