It's still 35$, but if you love or even just moderately like turn-based strategy games, there is no more excuse not to buy it.

I'll go out on a limb here and make a statement I usually don't make: Dominions 3 is the best and most in-depth turn-based fantasy strategy game there is on the market right now.

Also, I'm totally up for a round.
    A few important notes.

    1) There's a demo, don't make a purchase without trying it.

    2) If you are even the tiniest bit sensitive to shitty graphics, you need not apply. The guys that made this game are brilliant, but they're certainly not artists.

    3) MOST IMPORTANTLY: The general consensus has been that while Dom 3 is incredibly deep, the AI can't cope with that depth of mechanics. Once you've learned the basics of how to play the game, you're going to have to play PvP to get a challenge. Personally, for me, that's a deal-breaker. If this has changed in subsequent patching I'd very much like to hear about it.

Daily Steam deal is Peggle Deluxe, at 50% off.

    HEALTH WARNING: May be addictive.

Couple questions about that Zavvi/Hut deal:
    Is this offer today only?
    Is this a reliable site?
Do they ship to the US?

    -No
-Kind of. They won't cheat you but they aren't great at prompt delivery.
-They say they won't ship games consoles and electronics outside of the UK but it's not clear if this includes games.

'Soon'. A splodge of fading hopes and dreams, realised in a big red button on Gabe's desk next to the Half Life 3 reveal button.

All very valid points. The in-combat AI has greatly improved, which means the performance of enemy troops is much better. The overall strategy has slightly improved.

I still find single-player rewarding after all those years, but it's a multiplayer game just like Solium Infernum is. Only more lengthy.

I'm glad to hear it's improving, but sorry to hear it's still not sound enough to justify a purchase purely for single player/co-op play. Long-form PvP games are only a good idea with a group of friends, IMO, and there's no way I'd ever be able to coordinate a game of something like Dom 3.

There's a Quick Look of it that's 40 minutes long, so you should be able to get a good impression of that. As far as I'm aware though, the game got positive feedback.

Sanctum is a lot of fun! It's kinda creepy being on the ground floor of a Tower Defense game. Basically, your towers will not be enough to stem the tide, so you must warp about and thin out the numbers with your various weapons. The monsters are very cool, with various skills/immunities. Things get very hectic very quickly!

I don't know if I can recommend Hydrophobia, even at that price. It had promise, but it was just a bit tame. Fell through a few too many pit-falls. It's not bad, it's just not good. If you have a console, I recommend trying the demo first to see if you like it. Otherwise, on your head be it.

That is to say, I've not completed the game. It was just dull and uninspiring, so I made it through the demo and stopped. Ahwell, at least they released a demo.

I have to say that I recommend Hydrophobia for that price. Sure it's not a masterpiece, it's a pretty standard game, but for that price you get a few couple (8) hours of fun and credible fluid dynamics. Just my 2 cents , to present the opposite point of Sonic Dude up there.
