Just a heads up for anyone curious about Dead Space. If you find yourself getting queasy at all go to Visuals > Advanced Render Settings and turn off Motion Blur and Blur. I thought at first this was a FOV issue but I'm finding it easier going after switching those off (and apparently FOV scales to your resolution).

Just found a digital download for Guildwars 2, quite cheap. I am not sure if it works for foreigners though. You just get a key which you put into Arena Net. Beta starts tomorrow.

Torchlight 2 is available to pre-order on Steam. Whilst this in itself is not a 'bargain', pre-orders come with a copy of Torchlight 1, giftable if already owned (I hope you can gift it anyhow considering I have it, just not on Steam) and you can buy a 4-pack that is the cost of 3. It currently costs £15/$20.
I might be persuaded to buy a 4-pack of Torchlight 2 assuming I can find 3 people who want to chip in. Although it might be better of we could get a USAian to buy it as the exchange rate is favourable.
I was thinking the same thing. I'd definitely be interested in being part of a 4-pack, but it does seem like US purchase would be slightly cheaper.

I have played a small bit of it and it plays like a linear diablo type game, which is quite fun. It is worth a try for that price
It's fun but I had issues with it that I couldn't fix. Every time my character does an action his audio skips so he's constantly going "Ye-ye-yes!" "Fire-fire-fireball!" and types of things like that. Tried a handful of different suggestions and couldn't get it fixed. Was just too annoying to play through. Getting a new computer shortly and hopefully that sorts the issue out.
Roleplay him with a stutter. Problem solved.

Personally, I've no experience with gamefly.com, but it's a steamworks title IIRC and should register on steam.
So, what's the current situation with BRINK? Still a decent amount of servers available? Any severe mechanical issues? Do the DLC's add something of value to the game?

Also, total noob-question (but I wasn't gaming on PC when dual-cores hit the market): If a game requires 2.4Ghz single core, would a 1.5Ghz dual core do the job, or are they not really a straight equivalent like that?

If a game does distribute the load to all cores equally then yes, your 1.5 dual would have a slight advantage. Though a lot of games (not only older ones, Shogun 2 comes to mind) tend to use all of the first core and only a fraction of the second (third/fourth).
