Other batman games are on sale too, like Arkham Asylum for 5.00 USD and Lego Batman for 7. All use securom it appears.
I think GFWL vs the enjoyment I got out of the game, then the couple of times the game had to restart because of GFWL updates, only at first, is well worth it. In the ~18h I sank into the game I had no more problems with it, once I start the game it loads and that's it. So for €9.50 (with IGN discount) it's well worth the price, IMO :)
Weird. Never had any problems with GFWL completing both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. I have heard the horror stories, though, of missing saves and weird updates.
Some people consistently have issues with GfWL, hence why they don't buy games with it in. Plus the only way to get the DLC is to use Microsoft's site.
Even I would prefer to use Steam in that case.
Not a bargain per se, but GOG just released Quest for Glory 1-5 for 9.99$, all together. Which is a pretty fair price.

Not really an issue as far as I care, really. There's plenty of games with Steamworks integration on Steam copies but not on others. Dredmor comes to mind, for example.
Hum... Thanks! Would like to know, though... Is it Steamworks? ^^
EDIT: Ups, forgot to quote. I was refering to Arkham City on GamersGate.

Sorry, I thought I was quoting... >.< I edited already. I was talking about Batman: AC. I would like to buy it on GamersGate, but I want it on Steam.
Buy it on Steam then, as it's only Steamworks if you buy it there.
Oh... I think I'll wait for the big summer sale, then, as it is a lot cheaper on GamersGate (with the IGN discount). ^^
