Recommending this as well even though TD games are not exactly my cup of tea.

Green Man Gaming is giving away Disciples II - Gold for free apparently. Worth picking up even if it's not your cup of tea since you'll be able to trade it for £3/$5 worth of credit towards any future purchase starting this saturday.

Disciples 2 is a bizarre game, I cannot work out whether I like it or not.
Irrelevant on further examination of the rest of the thread.

Gamersgate has Metro 2033 for $5.

Also, they have Daikatana for $2.50. Is it really as awful as its reputation, or is it just a case of failing to meet the ridiculously hyped expectations?

Daikatana is fun, it's a huge and varied game, just the first few levels are bad (when you, your enemies and your weapons are still weak) thus leaving a bad first impression.

The BecauseWeMay deals seem to have some pretty interesting picks, I have a few questions about some of the games though.

For Vessel, how playable is it on integrated graphics/netbooks? I'm guessing not very, given the whole fluids modelling.

Also, how is the plot for "Telepath RPG: Servants of God"? The setting's pretty unique (Middle-east Steampunk!) but their description of it as "A thoughtful narrative about the nature of the mind and the existence or non-existence of God" sounds very much like it'll stray into intellectual wankery. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for an engaging story, but I'd rather not blunder through some teenage assessment on the nature of the mind etc.

Vessel has a demo on Steam so you can test out how your computer handles it out before buying.

And I thought that was a mistake!

Michael has adopted what we’re calling an ‘anti-sale mentality’ by selling Vertex Dispenser at $15.01, “antidiscounted” from $9.99, and Glitch Tank and Zaga-33 have both been priced to $6.99, anti-discounted from $1.99 and $0.99 respectively.

BecauseWeMay seems to have at least a couple of errors on their site. Double Fine bundle is $12 instead of $15, The Baconing is $6 instead of $3, maybe others as well. Not a big deal, just mind that when shopping, I suppose.

Civilization V is also running a free Steam weekend. I recommend you play it if you haven't.

Metro 2033 is pretty much on sale everywhere today. Steam, Amazon, Gamersgate, Impulse. Even Onlive. Maybe a tad overkill.

That sounds planned to me. Wasn't there a recent release of something for Metro: Last Light? Looks like brand awareness time!

On topic: Sonic Generations is on sale? Why, you should all go and buy it!

Edit: For some reason, Super Meat Boy is on sale by 66% until June 2nd on Steam (thanks SavyGamer!). As one of the best platformers this generation, if not ever, I strongly recommend you purchase it. And in advance a new controller. And some polyfill for your wall. So, maybe not quite as cheap as initially presented.
