I've attempted to start The Last Remnant a couple of times, but the battle system feels too automated, though not as bad as FF13. Admittedly, I haven't really given it a good try so it might get better. Definitely try the demo first.

I found it to be... hrm... closest description I can think of is "an acquired taste"; As the game progresses, you have to pick much more carefully your decisions, and more important than that, manage your squads, choose carefully the members, skills, gear, and leader. It ends up having an enormous impact on the battle.
It's a game that feels simple, but once you get a bunch of hours into it, you start realizing there certainly is a level of complexity at work.

But yeah, try the demo, it's a very weird game, not for all tastes. Plus if your PC is a bit old it might struggle with it, not the cleanest of ports that one.

It'd be awesome if Origin hadn't decided to set its prices in euros for my region.

Also have Front Mission Evolved, base price 12.99, usually 20-30 elsewhere. Both Steamworks.

A mediocre game that one, with some of the most laughable, melodramatic story-telling in gaming [written by the guy behind FF13]. Mechanically it's decent, nothing special, with extremely shallow mechanics, but the games not worth the slog it becomes given there's so little variety and nothing is particularly refined.

Yeah already found it a penny cheaper on another site and don't even think it is a sale lol. Basically I have managed to wrangle £40 of the wife for Diablo 3, but unsure about spending it all on one game when I can buy a few games for the same price. Ever since stumbling over savvygamer I am afraid to buy games in the fear of seeing them cheaper the next day lol. I used to impulse buy all the time, now it takes me 3 days of debating to lay any cash down.

IsThereAnyDeal.com is my site of choice, among others, it offers price history too and has most of the DD sites gathered plus you can have it alert you when games in you wishlist go on sale via e-mail. Make sure you set the region correct though.

You can rest assured that Diablo 3 won't be any cheaper than that anytime soon, but the stuttering ruins the entire experience imo.

Personally, I'd hold off until the Steam Summer Sale starts in the next week or so. For that money I daresay you'll be able to get at least 8 great games that aren't tied into an unreliable online-only system.

Well I bought Need for Speed hot Pursiot and Darksiders off Origin. Darksiders is a 25GB Download o0. Will be leaving that one to do overnight as I only have 120GB a month limit, even though it would only take a little over an hour to DL

Not sure, when going to install on origin it said required disk space 25gb. Ah just started it and the download is 12gb, they must have had some patches.
