Just got an email from Ubisoft. Seems the next few days they are doing special £1 daily deals.

When buying anything Ubisoft, don't forget about the latest fiasco with their DRM silently installing backdoors to your computer.

£1 might be too expensive in that regard.

No I don't think so, I've just bought Hawx 2, and it (suprisingly) only cost me a dollar in my local currency (NZD). Its worth noting, that the download link is only live for a month, after which you'll have to aquire the install files from somewhere else.

Pretty sure this is wrong -- you should have access to UPlay games from UPlay itself forever (or until Ubisoft goes under or whatever.) I have games that I bought years ago in there.

Gamersgate's summer sale rolls on, including $4 for Supreme Commander Gold. If you already own Forged Alliance, is there any reason to bother with the original?

Sniper Elite V2 is cheap on Steam, and says it has co-op. Can anyone comment on what that amounts to?

Thanks! Yeah, pretty much the instant I wrote that it occurred to me I should check co-optimus. It sounds pretty outstanding, actually, from a co-op perspective. I'd still be interested in hearing from other folks that have played it, though.

I think you're right, but to add the game to your Uplay account, from what I can tell, you have to download and install it first. Which means you've only got 30 days to aquire it in order to add it to your account. The Uplay store was very unclear about the whole process.

Vinraith, if you own Forged Alliance I would give the original SupCom a miss. The campaign is nothing special, so it's mostly an earlier, worse version of FA.
