p.s. oh boy is it a hurdle jumping mess to get a game from that site if you're not in the US - still, worked in the end (new Amazon account, card and billing address UK, add US address to account - choose that as billing address in checkout).

I spotted Don't Starve on Steam, which is giving a slight discount on preorders of the game at the moment. It looks mildly interesting - has anyone heard of it, or preferably played the beta?

Cheers, found the RPS mention and the Chrome-based demo. Having survived in the demo till dark, when I got eaten by monsters, I think I might give it a go. The basic moving around and collecting stuff seems nice and straightforward. Will have a listen to TB's take later.

Green Man Gaming(i fucking hate gmg) has got Guild Wars 2 for $57.99. and with the 25%off code(GMG25-UAAHK-6AI9S), that's $43.50
    http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/e...al-edition-na/

Warning! GMG is where i got GW2 from, and didn't get my key till the next day (bout 12 hours later), so they are obviously selling games when they don't have keys for them. just thought i'd let ya kno.

    ALSO:

    CODE: GMG25-UAAHK-6AI9S

I bought it (Chrome Store Beta - $6.99 for 2 copies!!) and even had trouble finding someone to take my 2nd key on this very forum (did eventually goto another home tho)

I love it, but the BETA has suffered from being bloody hard to get anywhere in - I think they've slowly sorted that out tho.

Need to find out if I get a Steam Key I guess (tho I'm happy playing it in Chrome tbh)

p.s. Steam Keys in the menu of the Chrome version

p.p.s. buy it from the Humble Store widget on their site and you get 2 Steam Keys AND 2 Chrome keys...

GMG code: GMG35-5BRU6-ZDRX7 for 35% off XCOM, Borderlands 2, or Chivalry. Tempting.

    Same deal on Gamersgate:
    Darksiders 2 midweek sale.

At this rate, by christmas, we'll be able to get it for 10$ or less.

The way THQ seems to be doing, I wouldn't be surprised. Is the DSII Season Pass worth it, I mean does it add any content or just skins or whatnot?

The Season Pass isn't a Season Pass - it's a pre-order of 2 bits of DLC unavailable as yet.

The DLC already out there is NOT included in it...

As usual the bigger titles which release earlier in the 'silly season' tend to get cheap before Xmas - $10 might be ambitious but we have the Steam Thanksgiving and Xmas sales looming so it's not impossible.

Green Man Gaming are giving away earth 2160 for free!

From my experience the free games are usually converted to credit (remove game from library and get store credit) later on.

    Serious? *sighs*

Looks like I'm waiting until Christmas then.
I'm failing to writing a blog, specifically about playing games the wrong way
