I'm sure Steam's Black Friday sale will lop the heads off of these competitors prices so it couldn't hurt to wait if you're set on getting it on steam

I highly doubt they'll have the DLC on sale at more than 75% off. Just get them from greenmangaming - You'll get steam keys for all of them. I bought some of the music DLC from there just today, and everything worked fine, received the keys immediately.

World in Conflict for about £3.50 will get you one of the best strategy games ever for cheap. A genuinely excellent single player campaign (with narration by Alec Baldwin!), great skirmish and multiplayer modes and still beautiful to look at. Maybe a tad easy but play it for it's verisimilitude and you won't care how much of a challenge it is or isn't becuase it's just a brilliant experience.

From what I've heard so far, it's supposed to be well worth that much for the single player campaign alone.

Exactly! There's only a few spots you can't win by just loading up on large tanks, even on a higher difficulty, but the narrative is fantastic. You really get attached to the characters. I think I've played through the campaign 3 times at this point. Make sure it includes the expansion which integrates a few new missions into the main campaign.

There's a good amount of approaches you can take as well-steamroll with tanks, map control with infantry/airforce, bomb the shit out of everything or any of the above combined.

I'll probably get it for that, I'm intrigued by anything whcih plays with narrative, I'm abit tired of shooters although maybe this will be a CLEVER SUBVERSION and blow my mind and I'll be like "whaaat" and hate war and stuff.

I think this one got lost in the midst of all the games that are on sale on Amazon right now, it's a bit cheaper than the one in GamersGate, even with the IGN discount and you'd get a $5 promotional credit in January next year for select games. I got Shogun 2 for $2.50 using the promo credit this year so I guess it's worth it in case you're a regular customer there:
