Transcripted - Zuma/shooter hybrid - is 90% off on Gamefly

    UK site here

    http://www.gamefly.co.uk/Download-Tr...#axzz2E7Ow4z9w

NOV20OFFUK gets 20% off that (tho I think that's a one-use-per-account code you might want to save for something more expensive!?)

TCB/Quidco give cashback for Gamefly too :)

Honestly, it's probably the single best tutorial in the history of the genre.

And yes, alms is right, not only is there a demo (which I'd honestly forgotten about) but said demo contains said tutorial, so you'll see exactly where you're at.

It's less about micromanagement and more about accepting that, and planning for the fact that, you're going to lose and have to retake things. That's 100% historical by the way, it's why Phillip was running around Greece tearing down all the city walls. It wasn't "I need to be able to defend this" it was "I need to be able to retake this when it gets captured/rebels/whatever." It's definitely a very different feel than your typical RTS, though.

Played a small bit of the demo, and it feels interesting enough that I'll bite, even if it is likely to be overwhelming once I get out of the paddling pool.

Am I remembering wrong or was this game released at the same price as the kickstarter price? That doesn't quite seem right to me.

Is there any way to get an RSS feed of this PC Bargains thread? The forum FAQ implies that it might be possible, but I haven't figured out any way to do it.

vBulletin, the forum software, doesn't allow RSS for single threads. You can subscribe via email like ColOfNature says.
Might I also suggest perusing the fine subreddit Game Deals?

Anyone know a place to get Far Cry 3 cheaper than $50 in the US? Get Games Go and Green Man both don't offer it US buyers for some reason.

I can't see the stores from the USA, but Get Games Go should (have) offer(ed) it with a discount
    http://www.getgamesgo.com/product/far-cry-3
    As well as Gamefly.com

Or if you're feeling brave, try a key site
    http://www.gamingdragons.eu/en/search-far-cry-3.html
    http://cdkeyshere.com/index.php?rout...=far%20cry%203

Game Fly had it at full price and GGG wouldn't let me check out with the cheap version, so I did cdkeyshere. Thanks for the tip!

The new daily deals on gamersgate:

    - Warlock - £3.74

    - Viking: Battle for Asgard - £5.00

    - From Dust - £2.99

The Titan Quest expansion is 75% off too, but oddly the base game isn't on sale at all.

Warlock is very good for that price. Buyers should consider the Elf DLC, that is good quality and reasonably priced. Powerful Lords and Power of the Serpent are overpriced. I haven't played the others.

Thanks for the responses about the lack of RSS feeds for this thread. I did some searching and found RSS feeds for PC game deals on Cheap Ass Gamer, Deal Catcher, Deal News, Digital Game Deals, and Steam Price Tracker. So now I have a folder in Google Reader that lets me know what sales are on. But reading this thread is still the most useful because you all not only discuss which games are on sale but also why the sale games are good and whether you should or shouldn't buy them.

I imagine you're all going to see this, but the weekend + daily deals on steam are good enough to worth posting specifically about.

FTL is 40% off, at £4.19, although it's worth noting that it's actually slightly cheaper if you buy it direct from the devs + you get a steam key, so do that instead: http://www.ftlgame.com/ ($5.99 works out as £3.73)

Hotline Miami is £3.50 (50% off). I've had my eye on this for a while, so that's all the reason i need to pick it up, after forgetting to pick it up in the autumn sale.

Defcon is £1.75 (75% off), but if you don't already own it, there's something wrong with you.

There is in fact something wrong with me. I'm absolute shit at RTS games.

This especially sucks because I loved the aesthetic of the game.
