Thanks, will probably go for it then. Also am I right in thinking that if I buy Borderlands I can "gift" the code to someone else by just giving it them to pop on their own account?

Leaning towards Alpha Protocol, Fthreear and Mafia II. Which two should I pick?

Play Alpha Protocol, with a controller, then make sure you have something to cool the nerves after you get frustrated by its mechanics. Then soldier-on like I did and come to love the game. And if you go stealth, for the love of god give yourself some points in at least one gun, say pistols (because you can get silencers for them).

It's quite a bad game at times, but it is also a very excellent game.
Powered by Steam. And biscuits. I'm also a twit and dabble in creative writing.

Also no need for a controller. It plays with KB+M just fine.

I will drop like a rock in the new year - if not at Xmas, I reckon tho - the PC version hasn't sold well and has a reputation for being a moody port.

Thinking back to Burnout Parasite (yes - that music) - the PC version was a bit lip-service too - DLC not ported over etc. etc.

It was a true pleasure to play regardless.

    It wasn't terrible - it wasn't Burnout 2 or 3 either...

It was, in fact, Sonic Adventure as played against the original games IMO - and NFS: Most Wanted is NOT Sonic Generations :)

Incidentally, the lack of earlier Burnouts on PC remains a crime - we DEMAND HD makeovers for 2 and 3 at least (perhaps with Revenge and the later (not the original PS2 one which was nasty) versions of 1 thrown in as bonuses!) :)

Huh, Scribblenauts discounted already. Before it's even out in Europe. Sucks to be you, WB, I'd have paid full price for that if you'd done a worldwide release.

Defender's Quest is 5.09$ on steam.
Highly recommended (by me) tower defense game.

Just come here to post this, I second the reccomendation as Defenders Quest is a brilliant mix of tower defense and RPG-ness.

Yes. If you have any interest in an RPG/TD mix, it's worth the full price, let alone five bucks.

I like Defender's Quest too, and I usually think tower defence is an enemy of gaming.
Irrelevant on further examination of the rest of the thread.

Yes, Defender's Quest scratches the same itch to me as Desktop Dungeons or Puzzle Quest. Good for small bouts of pick-up-and-play when you don't have time for much else, but also with a bit of a sense of progression thrown in.

Can someone who doesn't like the game post quickly before an opinion singularity occurs.
