I think I can cope with Mass Effect without the abilities and stuff. I'm not sure I'll enjoy the combat all that much, but it'll be fine. Guess I'll give it a try for 3.50.

So there is. Thanks. Will give that a go before buying the game. Hope it's just the first level or something, and not a level two thirds of the way through...

Has anybody played Space Colony HD? http://www.gog.com/gamecard/space_colony_hd From the screenshots it looks a little like I remember an old game called Utopia looking, only in HD...

All your hopes are for not. It starts with an action-heavy sceney level and then jumps around. As soon as I figured out it was making me play levels out of order I uninstalled and just bought the game.

Ahh, thanks for that - just as it had downloaded and I was about to start playing. I guess 3.50 isn't all that much to spend...

While it's still 11.99 € on Steam at 40% off...

hmm. I had decided to wait for the GOTY, but now I wonder.

Wait for the GOTY, some of those DLCs are needed by more complex mods and they add (and improve) quite a bit to the game.

It's a rich huge world. DLC fills in some main narrative chains but mostly pretty self contained.

Yes you have to register there.

I bought The Witcher 2 for cheap from them, some months ago. The fine people at GOG added the game to my shelf there. Just mailed them the receipt.

Paypal payment was gone for some time. Good that it's back again.

Just purchased Clash Of Heroes there. Got the Steam key instantly, downloading now.

I noticed A10C Warthog is a Flash Sale - I'd buy it ONLY if I could modify it as per this piece of brilliance

    http://what-if.xkcd.com/21/

It's (single main) gun pushes 5 TONNES of recoil - it's (2) engines only push 4 TONNES of thrust each - so if you put 2 guns on it and fire both with the engines at full power you'd still go backwards :) :)

If it models that - I'm in :)

Highly unlikely it models a theoretical two-gun model, but I would wager money it models the impact on airspeed/thrust from firing the gun for more than a burst at at ime.

You mean, kinda like most of the GOG library?

It came out around the same time as Max Payne 2, Call of Duty 1, and Deus Ex 2. If you can handle replaying those, then you'll be ok with XIII.

XIII is a licensed property, maybe the license for the game expired.
